Ok so 350,000,000 @ 1 Million each is still only 350,000,000 right? Then take 350,000,000 X 3 years = 1,150,000,000 or 1.15 B correct?
No. 350 million x 1 million does not equal 350 million. 350 million x 1 = 350 million. 350 million x 3 (presumably years) does not equal 1.15 billion, it equals 1.05 billion.
Apparently the confusion is: The first part of the equasion is a gzinta then we move to multiply ( X 3 ) If 350,000,000 people had 1 Million each the total is 350,000,000 nothing more nothing less! But yes my bad 3 X 350,000,000 1.05 B 350,000,000 +350,000,000 + 350,000,000 = 1.05 B
Will you please explain how 350 million times (not a gzinta) 1 million equals 350 million. If you gave everyone just one dollar, it would be $350 million. A million each is beyond belief.
At this point I swear I'm seeing spots in a purple shirt. I could be wrong, it could be a sweater, or even a jacket...@#$% if I know, I just can't quite get that thunk. I'll keep at it though. ""
I have found the error in my perceived thought process of mathematics and shall refrain from posting such large numbers while drinking. And to give you your due: you were right I was wrong.

I resemble that remark. ...and I've earned it. Boss went into "Winter-mode" about six-weeks back. The last two days in particular were ...exhausting, but well worth it.
I drink when I am thirsty, I eat when I am hungry and sleep when I am sleepy. I think that makes a hedonist.
had to look that word up: Hedonism is a school of thought that argues that pleasure is the primary or most important intrinsic good.[1] In very simple terms, a hedonist strives to maximize net pleasure (pleasure minus pain). Ethical hedonism is the idea that all people have the right to do everything in their power to achieve the greatest amount of pleasure possible to them, assuming that their actions do not infringe on the equal rights of others. I can get that way at times.
Thank you for posting this. Am reading it offline. Great timing since I've just finished Joachim Fest, "Not I".
You have reached your maximum thunk-limit on the subject, please refrain from considering it any further than that.
You're welcome, Takiji. I haven't read that book; it sounds well worth while. I think that there has always been a segment of the population of the United States that would be willing supporters of an American version of fascism. Whether that segment has grown proportionally larger in the past few decades, or merely got more vocal and connected by the internet is hard to say. One thing seems clear--many of them perceive Trump as saying at least some of the things they want to hear.
