In yet another GOP moment of honesty, voter ID laws have been exposed as just another tool the Right-wing uses to suppress Democrats voting rights because they know that they can't win in a fair election. How many is this now? Can you Righties really hold onto the lie that you are only trying to stop voter fraud that you have never proven to even exist? Fair and honest elections are a bedrock of democracy. Why does the Right hate democracy so much? Keep in mind that this guy is a Republican precinct chairman. NC GOPer Resigns After Criticizing 'Lazy Black People' AP Photo Igor Bobic – October 24, 2013, 4:52 PM A Republican precinct chairman in North Carolina was asked to resign Thursday after making racially inflammatory comments during a 'Daily Show' interview on Wednesday, WRAL reported. Buncombe GOP Chair Henry Mitchell said Don Yelton resigned for making remarks that were "offensive, uniformed and unacceptable of any member within the Republican Party." In an interview centered on North Carolina's voter ID law conducted by the Daily Show's Aasif Mandvi, Yelton criticized "lazy black people that wants the government to give them everything." "The bottom line is the law is not racist," Yelton said. "Of course the law isn't racist, and you're not racist," Mandvi responded. "Well," Yelton paused. "I've been called a bigot before. Let me tell you something, you don't look like me but I think I've treated you the same as anybody else. As a matter of fact, one of my best friends is black. One of my best friends." "When I was a young man you didn't call a black a black," he added later. "You called him a negro."
Efforts to Change Voting Laws The Supreme Court in June struck down a portion of the Voting Rights Act that required some places, mostly in the South, to obtain federal permission, or preclearance, before changing their voting procedures. Since then, several of those places have moved ahead with new restrictions on voting eligibility.
Now I wonder why minorities hate your party? Hum? Must be all that free stuff or is it just the never ending stream of insults, bigotry, racism, and hatred you spew from the highest levels of your party? Yeah, I'd probably blame the "free stuff" if I was in your shoes too.
Why not show the whole thing... ...btw, (seriously) why is voter ID racist or exclusionary? ...I don't get it.
Just admit it, yakpoo. You hate minorities, women, children and puppies. But, seriously, voter ID isn't racist. The reason liberals don't want voters to show IDs is so they can vote at least twice or impersonate a dead guy. That's how Al Franken won.
People do check fraud. Voting is completely different. The actual numbers of voter fraud cases do nothing to alter the outcome of a race. The actual number of people that will be unable to vote because they cannot obtain the proper IDs is capable of altering an election. And that is the point after all.

To imply someone is capable of obtaining a picture ID because they are part of a minority group is beyond insulting & shows the insensitivity some have towards to other races. To bank you need an ID, to see the doctor you need an ID, to tour the White House you need an ID, to gain admittance to the Dimocrat National Convention you need an ID...heck, to initially register to vote you need an ID!!!
That's just plain ridiculous...if you require a Government issued photo ID to purchase alcohol or marijuana, everyone will have one tomorrow. I think only those who pay Federal Income Tax should be allowed to vote. Your tax return is your ticket to the polls...problem solved.
I don't see any problem with it. The states that want to implement it are all red states anyways. Must be a lot of voter fraud in those states. Maybe that explains why they are red?
Moron Joe has a problem with this: View attachment 2068 But, no problem with this: View attachment 2069
In CA you've always needed a valid ID to vote. Don't know what the difference is, but no, I have no problem with this. Should I?
Not really. CA is mainly Republican in the rural areas and Democrat in the urban areas. That never seems to change. But people still seem to think illegals can vote here, which isn't the case, as we've had mandatory ID at the polls for at least 20 years now.
Ask JoeNation. He's vehemently against IDs for some reason. He seems to think it disenfranchises voters or some other notion.
