I've never praised any of their actions, in fact, I don't even know why anyone would listen to someone just because they've been in a movie or two. I didn't tell Fred Thompson to stay out politics either. The Republicans can put up the entire cast of the OC for all I care. The irony here is that Republicans spend half the campaign slamming hollywood and then tap actors with wide name recognition as candidates. I guess they prefer candidates that can act like leaders rather than actual leaders.
* "It takes considerable knowledge just to realize the extent of your own ignorance."......dd:Thomas Sowell sure had you pegged, didn't he?
Sure I can, but what fun would that be? I actually enjoy calling a spade a spade! I don't need you to TRY to tell me I am angry because I call you a moron though! Oh well! You are.
Forget he was an actor for a minute and let me ask you, do you agree or disagree on his stances??? Or is this just the bash the other party game???
That is exactly what I had asked in my first post on this thread topic (above). And Danr---- Who said any of us right wing think tankers were backing Fred Thompson? Who? I don't really expect you to answer that because I already know the answer. Because you can't.
Think tanks (not you, these guys) the ones who tell you what to think http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&q=conservative think tank&btnG=Search
Can I ask why should actors or actresses or any other group (Other than Criminals) be forbidden for running for office? Just because someones proffesion is acting does not prohibit them from intelagence!!
You're a legend in your own mind. However, I'm still waiting for the first sign of an intellect to emerge from the middle school attitude.
Because he's a Republican and he is the strongest/most popular 'potential' canditate. Twice as popular in fact as those who've announced intentions to run for President of the United States... His Strong on Defense and Hard on Illegal Aliens stance has the Socialist Democrats all in a WORRY. So much in fact that one of their weaker minded constituents inadvertently started a thread which backfired on their ASS... LOL... Ben
If someone wants to be mayor of their home town, intelligence is probably sufficient. When you're talking about the presidency, a certain amount of intelligence, political experience, knowledge of world history, familiarity with current world events and conditions, development of an understanding of political philosophy, and a thorough knowledge of the Constitution is a requirement, in my opinion. Anyone can run, but not everyone deserves to win. Actors and actresses would be near the bottom of the list. Reagan won, but he had a degree in economics, was governor of California, and had developed a very sound personal political philosophy that he could bring into office. He didn't go straight from the movie screen to the White House.
You will never be able to comprehend me since you yourself have an elementary school mentality. Keep reading and trying to comprehend what I say and you may eventually start to progress in your scholarly endeavors.

Well reading that says to me he is qualified by anyones standard to run for high office, would it matter so much to you if he was fronm another party? As for deserving to win isnt that subjective, it would mean something different to each voter if asked LOL
I would have to say that you have probably contributed less to this forum than any other member, so you aren't worth the trouble. But every circus needs a clown, so I guess you have that to fall back on.
Steve, the Democrats would be 'jumping for joy' if Fred Thompson were to consider running under the Democratic ticket. They would drop Osama and Hellary to the curb like fossil dog poop, AKA that's coprolite for the thinkers in the group.
Attacking me and not what I posted!!! Ha, you are a dumbass. There I go again, imagine that... calling you a dumbass. Congratulations on attacking me and not my opinion on the topic. You continually amaze me. What a great Liberal response. Cloudedass Bin Laden I just posted his biography and you tell me I contributed nothing!! HAHAHAH ROFLROFLROFL DUMBASS!!!!
