There is one more way as I learned just yesterday while in class. The prof said we shoud recover all the cost of this war by selling arms to Iran for oil. This oil can then be sold at huge prices for it's profit and to build mor arms which we supply to Iraq. We can keep all the extra cash and repay the treasury for a net gain on this thing. We win a steady supply of oil and we have them kill each other off. What better way could it have happened. No more muslems and we end up with all the oil. Bet you hadn't thought of that now have you?
Actualy Guardian I suggested putting Sadam back in charge but under our control and if you dont mind pasing a message on to your Prof from me LOL it goes like this Have you ever heard of the Iran/Iraq war? We tried it then & it went on for years but they are still there. De Orc
Actually, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, 57% of the arms sales to Iraq from 1973-2002 were by the Soviet Union, 13% by France, 12% by the People's Republic of China, 7% by Czechoslovakia, 4% by Poland, 2% by Brazil, and 1% by a several countries independently (including the US). We didn't sell or give Saddam Hussein much. During the Afghan war of resistance against the Soviet invasion in the 1980s, we did give (not sell) assistance to the Afghan rebels. Osama bin Laden was a member of a resistance group we helped.
Once again, jwevansv, you have demonstrated your lack of reading comprehension. We were not attacked by either Iraq or Iran, the subject of the post. We were attacked by al Qaeda terrorists. But maybe you put your finger on America's real problem. Americans are unable to distinguish between an attack conducted by terrorists comprised mostly of Saudi and Egyptian nationals, and the foreign policy actions of sovereign nations such as Iran and Iraq. Thanks for demonstrating more clearly than I ever could how the inability to think clearly on a subject leads to poor decision making.
Guardian, If you've already paid your tuition, ask for a refund. That's the dumbest suggestion I've ever heard.
You are right of course Cloudsweeper, as even our Prof admitted that is more of a joke than something that should be taken serious. He likened it to the discussion on 9/11 and who did what. They are all just ideas and now one should take them serious. Those that do, are in it for something other than what woud appear. Maybe I should ask for my money back anyway, He assigned a essay to be turned in by Monday and I have no time or resources to accomplish the task. Maybe I should have just audited this class.
Guardian, My guess is that you will do fine. Give it your best effort and you might be surprised. Keep in mind that while cheating is wrong, bluffing isn't.
