Well, you are trying to ignore me and the question I ask related to the Islamic terrorism. The part of their movement, which has come to the fore against secular and progressive movements for liberation, against cultural and intellectual advances and against a peaceful society. It would appear you have no reply for these questions.
All right lets assume what you say is true. While you may not "support" it, it would appear that you just condone these actions. There now kvasir, isn't that a fair appraisal of the situation?
Yes, it is easier just to make jest and call people names than to admit that your intelligence sometimes gets in the way of common sense. Everyone is human and we know it is very hard for you to admit that you took the wrong side of this debate and what you really want is to run with real men and climb out from under your desk. It is obvious that by your last few "intelligent" posts that you no longer have anything sensible to post and so you just flail away aimlessly to get attention and constantly try to anger those that openly defend this country and its policies and are proud to be Americans. You continuously bash the government, the flag, veterans, military, the elderly, religion, etc.. Pretty much everything that has made this country what is is today you seem to find something wrong with. I wouldn't be surprized if you admitted to being in favor of banning the "Pledge of Allegiance" from public schools. But wait, you can do that because of a thing called "FREEDOM", you know, that thing that the other countries of the world gave us openly and without struggle. There I go doing that flag waving again ( I knew you would say it so I thought I'd save you the trouble). You constantly argue that noone respects your opinions but you are the first one to "go after" anyone that expresses theirs. You welcome all opinions as long as they agree with yours.
HAHAHA! What the hell? I fully support operations in Afghanistan and the toppling of Saddam's evil regime. I support the destruction of al-Qaida, and am not an apologist for terrorism. What I do not support is this "war" you've made up against everyone of Islam. If this was a war against Islam, we would have left Saddam Hussein in power & let him kill as many of his people as possible. Since it's not, we did the right thing in removing him from power & are helping the people of Iraq regain control of their nation. When you assume that people who defend average Muslims from idiocy & ignorance are the same ones who are lilly-livered cowards who support the French and the UN and protest any foreign action in the defense of our Nation, you have a few screws loose.
I never finish most of your posts because, at this point, you've said it all before. I'm not ignoring your "well intended" questions, I just don't bother to answer the same questions again and again. Go back and read the previous answers. Save me some typin'.
I.m still trying to figure out what religion these terrorists follow since we now know they aren't Muslims.
What differnce does it make? They are terrorists and they need to be stopped, not examined for religious connections.
I predict that by the time this thread reaches 28 pages, everyone will have convinced everyone else that their stance is the right one, resulting in a polar swap of opinions, which will make for 28 more pages of banter.
O.K. a whole new set of questions/querys, that I would hope you would honor us with your usual authoritative answers/oppinions. If I should slip and ask for the same data that you have already generously provided at an earlier date, please advise the location so it may be found. (trying to save you from typing with those bloody fingers). Thank you in advance for a very edit bunch of answers. 1) Do you regard those in the Islamic world superior to the rest of us “infidels” of the West? 2) What are your views on the “stoning” of women to their death, just for having an extramarital affair? 3) Should women be allowed to run and hold office with authority over men? 4) Your thoughts on the subject of the use of guns, knives, machetes, whips, imprisonment, and stoning to inforce the Islamic religion by the Taliban? 5) Do you believe or know of Islamic terrorists cells here in America? Your reply to this post will be interesting to say the least. That is unless you choose to ignore or side-step the replys. Thank you in advance old buddy and defender of the elderly.
thanks Dan.... because of your question #5, everyone in this thread is going to be checked over and investigated by the CIA...
You probably didn't ask for MY opinion but I can answer some of your questions right away. 1, Superior in what regards? 2, Only in a handful of Islamic countries where the Sharia law is practiced does stoning of women occur for the crime of adultry and that is of course not acceptable anymore by Western judeo-christian standard. In the Islamic world, Turkey abolished capital punishment completely. A number of North African countries are abolishionists in practice such as Morrocco, Algeria and Tunisia. What do you think about still arresting and jailing people for what consenting adults do in their privacy of their bedrooms in a number of American states? What's your view on the death penalty? Some people think the status quo is what EVERYONE else in the world should follow. The US is one of the last places in the Developed world where the death penalty is practiced and don't you think that is just as barbaric in the eyes of the abolishinists? 3, I can name you at least 4 muslim female heads of state and government: Benazir Bhutto of Pakistan (prime minister elected and served 2 times), Megawati Sukarnoputri of Indonesia (president), Tansu Ciller of Turkey (prime minister) and Khaleda Zia of Bangladesh (current prime minister). Are Americans anywhere ready to elect and accept a female president? Maybe if it was Gina Davis. 4, That's just the Taliban. I doubt any typical muslims living in your city (if any) will force you to believe in Allah the same way as the Taliban. At least they don't go in pairs door to door in spiffy suits persistently with panthlets. 5, Of course there is. But does that mean ALL muslims or anyone that looks muslim should be interned like what was done (at least in Canada and the US) to the Japanese and Ukrainians during WWII?
That is all right with me Rick, I've nothing to hide! Only those who have something of a questionable nature need be worried. In fact, bring it on... we need a good cleaning up around here.
I can make this sweet and simple for you without addressing each question point by point. My answers would be exactly the same as your answers to each of these questions. You know 1 everyone's equal, 2 no one should be stoned (with rocks), 3 women can hold any office men can, 4 the Taliban are sadistic freaks, 5 no, never met a terrorist cell. As I, and others have said, but you folks can’t seem to hear is that we don’t generalize the horrific extremes some Muslims will go to in the name of Islam to all people of that faith. Plain and simple. You have yet to show me even one post where someone has supported any of the acts referenced in your questions. From somewhere, maybe the voice in your head, you keep hearing myself and others condoning the acts of radical Islamic fundamentalists. In my life, I have met many Muslims and they seemed like good and decent people. Different from us, yes, but hardly baby eating murderous monsters. Your stereotyping of Muslims simply demonstrates your profound ignorance of the real people that make up the faith you hate so much. Bigotry’s central root is in fact ignorance. Have you had the chance to really meet any Muslims out there in Wyoming? Have you ever been to a country populated by Muslims? I’m sorry you find my viewpoint so hard to understand. It really shouldn’t be all that hard. I think that I have a pretty good idea of your outlook and I see anger, fear, paranoia, and a loss of control. I think when people feel that way for too long, they feel a need to lash out at others. It’s not unique. The Germans did it to the Jews, the Americans did it to the Japanese Americans, and the confederates did it the southern blacks. And life goes on…
For your information, that placing them in camps might have been all that saved them from getting strung-up after the sneak attack on Dec. 7th. Having said that I must also tell you that not all Japanese were interned. We had families living here in this state that never went to camp, and didn't change anything they did during the war except enlist and fight along side of the other American troopes. Mighty fine solders, all of them.
United we stand, devided we fall. "Everyone's equal." We are NOT all equal. If the first statement were true, we'd all be professional athletes, Nobel Prize winners, wealthy. We, as Americans, are EXTRODINARILY privileged. We have a freedom beyond the dreams of most of the inhabitants of this planet. A freedom that was once both humbling and emboldening to our nation. A freedom that was once jealously guarded by the blood and sweat of average citizens and noble leaders. Where has this pride gone? How did we arrive at the point where we would rather spend more energy blaming one person for the devastation of a category 5 hurricane than we do to aid our fellow citizens? How did we come to the point of such utter acquiescence to attacks on our way of life? How come many of those under 25 will read these questions not understand them, or worse, not care? When did we stop taking personal responsibility for our actions and the subsequent outcomes of those actions? When did we stop caring more about being an AMERICAN than what countries our forefather may have been born in? I challenge each of you to think about and answer these questions IN YOUR OWN HEARTS AND MINDS. Then, I challenge each of you to share how your actions, sacrifices, and hard work are helping to maintain our great nation. United we stand, divided we fall.
