There is no justification for this attack, but the people who order such actions do not need a justification simply the excuse to whip up hatred. I also can not believe that people are playing pass the political football over this. FOUR AMERICANS DIED stop trying to out do each other as to who is at fault and try for once to present a united front. Those who ordered this must be loving the way your media is reacting

So what you are saying is that I am wrong about this country supporting dictators over democracy? Do you ever read history books? Are you content to support foreign dictators with your tax money as long as you can lie to yourself and believe that nonsense about spreading democracy? Sure you are. Well here is a list of dictators we do or did support. How does someone achieve your age without knowing anything? Oh yeah, Fox News.

You dummy. I never said I supported dIctators. You're just trying to gin up something like you always do. The blogger never said anything about supporting dictators either. Just once I wish you'd take off your liberal blinders before responding to a topic where the adults on this forum are attempting to have a valid discussion.

All this feigned outrage over Romneys remarks is kind of funny actually. Does anybody remember the Gabby Giffords shooting? The lefties were on tv and radio within minutes blaming Fox News and talk radio. Obama has also used troops deaths as a political stick in the eye, but thats ok with the lefties because they really have zero values and styandards, their standards are on a sliding scale as to what benefits the party or the point they are currently trying to spin .

This is your "adult valid discussion"????

Obviously, if you read the blog you posted, the guy is blaming Obama for pushing democracy in the middle east and faulting Obama for the turmoil that process entails. The only other option is to return to the dictators that kept these people in line with an iron fist as long as we get what we want. Really, learn to comprehend what you are pretending to read.

There is no public record of President Barack Obama attending his daily intelligence briefing- (PDB)--in the week leading up to the attacks on the U.S. embassy in Cairo. The last time Mr. Obama attending his daily intelligence briefing was September 5th.
According to the Government Accountability Institute, Mr. Obama has only attended 43.8 percent of his Presidential Daily Briefs in the first 1,225 days of his Administration.

You would think if there was one week to show up for PDB’s it would be the week before 9-11. To miss a tee time or a fundraiser or a chance to hangout with Jay-z and Beyonce, not a chance.

You say " competent leader like Obama who handled this situation with grace and style". Please tell me which of these qualify as competent or with grace?

    He snubs the Israeli leader.
He did not prepare for problems on 9/11 in the Middle East.
He ignores Libya's warning of impending trouble.
He misses his security briefings - to attend a fund raiser!
He approved the Egyptian embassy tweet before he renounced it and agreed with Romney.
He spends more time denouncing the film than the attacks on the US.
He says Egypt in not out ally.
He totally ignores the problems in Egypt in his speeches.
    etc. ...........................

As for his style? Yep, he has one.

This is what Glenn Beck had to say. I realize the liberals here will want to shoot the messenger before listening to the message, but they really should listen to both sides before making judgment.

If you were reading the news yesterday, you would have thought the worst thing going on in the world involved Mitt Romney criticizing the administration’s response to the ongoing attacks on embassies in the Middle East.

Yesterday, before the Cairo embassy was breached, the organization issued the statement:
The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.

After the Libya embassy was attacked, they tweeted that they still stood by their statement.

Soon after, Romney condemned the statement that was issued by the embassy, issuing a statement that read:
“I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi. It’s disgraceful that the Obama administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.”

Almost instantly the media attacked Romney as being “irresponsible” and “ham-handed”. Reporters claimed that the White House has sufficiently denounced the attacks on the embassies and distanced themselves for the controversial statement from the Cairo organization. Furthermore, they accused Romney of trying to politicize the attacks.

But rather than cave to the attacks, Romney stood his ground.

“The president takes responsibility not just for the words that come from his mouth but also from the words that come from his ambassadors, from his administration, from his embassies, from his State Department. They clearly sent mixed messages to the world,” Romney said.

The mixed signals Romney referred to were the conflicting messages coming from the Cairo embassy condemning the controversial film which is said to have ignited the protests, and the statement issued by the White House distancing themselves from the Cairo’s embassy’s statement.

“We express immediately when we feel that the president and his administration have done something which is inconsistent with the principles of America. Simply put, having an embassy which is — has been breached and has protesters on its grounds, having violated the sovereignty of the United States — having that embassy reiterate a statement effectively apologizing for the right of free speech is not the right course for an administration,” Romney added.

For a full timeline of the events surrounding the controversy, click here.

On radio, Glenn could not believe the attacks being made by Romney by the media following the statement.
“Let me show you what happened after, I believe it was nine U.S. soldiers were killed while the president (Obama) was running for President of the United States and he came out and he said this:
John McCain who supported the war from the start said we’d be greeted as liberators has really focused on the tactical issues in Iraq and the surge has no doubt reduced violence and I think all Americans are thrilled by that. But what George Bush and John McCain have missed consistently from the start of this process is the broader strategy. You know, was it a wise thing to go in there and what are the costs and benefits of staying there indefinitely. We’re spending $10 billion a month there. We’ve spent $200 billion since the surge began. Meanwhile the situation where ‑‑ where the central front against terrorism should be taking place in Afghanistan, the situation has deteriorated and we have this brazen attack on a U.S. base where nine servicemen were killed.

Obama pretty blatantly had no issue using a tragedy where nine servicemen were killed to score political points for his own campaign. But he sure doesn’t like it when someone does the same to him.

“There is no time, there is no time like during a campaign when you should hear the differing opinions on the issues that affect not only the country but us as individuals and the entire globe. What, Mitt Romney should shut his mouth? No. Mitt Romney should say exactly what he believes and carve out the exact differences between the two. Because you have a choice, America. You have a choice,” Glenn explained.

“The media is somehow or another making Mitt Romney the bad guy in this. Somehow or another Mitt Romney should keep his opinion to himself. It’s a presidential election. We should absolutely hear what Mitt Romney has to say,” Glenn added.

(There was NO warning) Actually read post #72He misses his security briefings - to attend a fund raiser! (Nothing to do with this situation again) Oh! But it has a lot to do with his responsesHe approved the Egyptian embassy tweet before he renounced it and agreed with Romney. (A total BS lie. Prove this!) I will let you do your own legwork on this one.He spends more time denouncing the film than the attacks on the US.

Please give us your opinion on what the president himself should do when there is a deadly attack on American soil. Perhaps hold a campaign fundraiser in Las Vegas?

Empty Chair: Middle East in turmoil, Obama heads to Vegas for fundraiser
As the press circles the wagons to fight off Mitt Romney’s criticism of President Obama’s disastrous foreign policy, the President himself is headed to Las Vegas for a little campaign fundraising.
    from CNS:
On the day after the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and three other Americans were killed in Benghazi, the White House on Wednesday morning released a schedule showing that President Obama would continue with his planned campaign trip to Las Vegas.
Before he leaves, the schedule indicated, Obama will “deliver a statement” in the White House Rose Garden at 10:35 a.m., the White House said.
President Obama did eventually condemn the attacks on our embassy and consulate. But he took time to condemn Mitt Romney before he condemned the terrorists who murdered four Americans in Libya.
Meanwhile, the Middle East continues to boil over, and more American lives are at stake.
    Protests are spreading to Sudan:
Hundreds of protesters upset over a movie mocking Islam demonstrated outside the American embassy in Sudan on Wednesday, an embassy official said, after attacks on US missions in Libya and Egypt.
And Secretary of State Hillary Clinton seems baffled by the entire situation.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted this morning that the attack on the U.S. embassy in Libya was “not easy” for Americans.
“Today many Americans are asking, indeed I asked myself, ‘How could this happen? How could this happen in a country we helped liberate? In a city we helped save from destruction?’” Clinton asked.
Clinton explained that this question “reflects how confounding the world can be” and reminded Americans to be “clear-eyed in their grief.”
A President who campaigns instead of leading, a Secretery of State who admits she doesn’t understand the situation, yet the press attacks the only sensible voice in the entire situation, Obama’s opponent, Mitt Romney.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...story-of-us-envoys-assassination-8135797.html

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is responsible for the “security policies and programs that provide for the protection of all US government personnel … on official duty abroad.”
Clinton herself seemed bewildered by the attacks on the Libyan consulate, asking, “How could this happen in a country we helped liberate, in a city we helped save from destruction?”
But according to the Independent, she had no reason to be puzzled. Quoting senior diplomatic sources, the paper reports, “the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted.” Nonetheless, “no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and ‘lockdown,’ under which movement is severely restricted.”
Why wasn’t there better protection at the consulate? The State Department posted no Marines to the consulate. It was staffed instead by those Libyan “security” forces. The consulate also had “no bulletproof glass, reinforced doors or other features common to embassies.”
