They will either pay lip service & run as iqless has done or do what lil joe loves to do which is distract & re-direct by casting the insults. It's really a sad state of affairs when you have a party whose survival is based on keeping people indebted to gov't services & addicted to gov't handouts.

The only thing you can respond to in my entire post is the last sentence that does exactly what you do in your posts. For some reason, when you use pejoratives and insults it's OK but if I do the same, well then that is all you can focus on and conveniently ignore every single other word I've written. Your "training" requires you to interfere with people's daily lives, their way of life. You would demand they change their behaviors, and would have penalties in place for any insubordination to your tyrannical rule over them. You want to become an American dictator, yes?

A general answer was sufficient for your question. You want me to spell out specific training? I look at the programs currently available, and try to find reasonable ways to improve them. But you want more, right? Ok, then let's start with ridding America of the Republican's capability to cause any further harm to existing programs. That's your style of answer, isn't it?

What's wrong with "damaging existing programs" (your words) when those programs have proven to have no positive long-term effect? Remember, we started the War on Poverty" in the 60's & have spent billions yet we have a worse problem today.

Sooooo....the war on poverty has been successful because it has lowered the poverty rate a couple of points over 50 years? At what cost? Wasn't the idea to end poverty rather than make it a family tradition?
You can measure the cost in dollars (billions!!) or you can look at the damage it has caused through dependency, either the only benefit has been as a solid voting bloc for the dimocRATS & I think that's disgraceful....but that's the whole idea isn't it?

Once again, I say the training emphasis should be on life skills not just a trade as you advocate. Breaking the cycle of poverty entails way more than merely learning to fix a computer or work on cars. Can you agree with that?
In my work with the poor it seems the ability to function in everyday life is what's missing. Poor decision making, poor parenting skills, poor money mgmt, etc. People who can't take care of themselves can't teach their kids to be responsible, productive adults (but they can teach them where to go to sign up for gov't services though).
I think we can agree there are a lot of kids who start life behind the eight ball, maybe by teaching their parents how to rasie them responsibly would be a good first step?

 

And when they resist? What punishment does David the Dictator demand for the people opposed to these measures? Jail? You'll need to build a @#$%-load of prisons, and staff 'em eventually. Don't forget how every damn thing in America will be burning by then. You are clueless.

Doesn't it make sense, since we both agree some skills training would be beneficial, to offer full spectrum help rather than target one specific skill?

 

You talk of programs that already exist, in part. The training you speak of is taught in many schools. Are you unaware of that? Who would YOU have train these people, anyway, and who pays for it all? You constantly rant about how you want a smaller government, so that leaves them out. I'm guessing you'd want to privatize it all then, and many other programs (anything where people receive finacial assistance) as well. Who pays? I'm guessing the tax payer isn't going to be required to pay for your programs, and that the cost would be put on the people receiving the training. You know, the people with oh so much money they need to learn how to manage it....LIKE THEY DON'T MANAGE THEIR MEAGER RESOURCES ALREADY... And enforcement? What punishment fits for people who resist your efforts to educate people in how YOU think they should behave? Jail? Prison? Water-boarding? What methods of persuasion would YOU employ to assure compliance? Would you order the police to arrest... and if need be, kill...those who fail to comply? How far would David the Dictator gp to impose his idiotic will?
