I thought that you were a paper tiger. You can't answer one simple question and you prove me absolutely correct again.
I'm not arguing against measures that improve people's lives, I'm arguing against forgetting about people lives.
If liberals really cared about people lives, instead of merely shoring up a voting bloc, they would make efforts to break the cycle instead of advocating ways to continue it. Poverty, disease and whatever else you have mentioned are just the symptoms, it's the disease that needs to be addressed! Until both parties have the balls to get tough on parents it is only going to get worse.
I advocate for local jobs through an expanded social services programs, one that allows people to learn jobs skills that are useful in the private sector. You advocate for charity for multinationals.
Tell me more....I really want to have a serious discussion with you about this issue. What kind of skills? What kinds of income do you project? Given the state of our economy, where will the job openings come from?
Like a child. The irrationality of your demand is apparently beyond your ability to comprehend. If you insist on a game, would you mind making it an adult one. Something where everyone is naked. Ahhhh, much better.
I stated my support for government programs that would absolutely provide jobs and job skills that translate into private sector jobs. You say you don't support multinationals, but have failed to state who you do support. If not welfare recipients or the multinationals, then who? The middle class? That would be the appropriate political answer, don't you agree?
I'm curious. Do you have a name for this tactic of yours, of David asking a question and you following-up with another of your non-cent's attacks. You use the tactic all the time, and I was curious if you were mature enough not to give it a fancy/cool name or whatever you kids are doing these days.
There's a saying that may be appropriate here: You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink it.
Yours was a very general answer, I was simply looking for specifics...nothing behind my request, really, I was just curious as to what type of training you felt was appropriate & where these newly trained workers were going to find employment. As for me, I would suggest more "life skills" training. Specifically, how to function in society, how to raise their kids (great way to break the cycle!), how manage money, how to dress & seek employment. See, this is where I think most miss the boat.
I would agree with David on the how to manage money aspect, there is a programe run by one of the banks over here that teaches a group of kids this in a school then the kids themselfs run classes about it (with help from staff/Bank employees when needed) I also think the the techniques of interviews and setting out a CV are damn useful
Liberals don't want real solutions to issues such as poverty...they need dependent poor people whose lives they can control & whose votes they can count on. Programs designed to make liberals feel good about themselves without making an impact on those affected are massive wastes of money .
Perhaps Hillary should send the terrorists who attacked our consulate in Libya some Foie Gras, a Breast of Pheasant Sous Cloche and a Raspberry-Almond Torte with Chocolate Ganache. That might calm them down and make them start loving America again. View attachment 601 View attachment 602 View attachment 603
You're right, I should have known. Liberals don't want to solve the problems they just want to as large a dependent class as possible.
If this is indeed "the liberal narrative" as you say, show me a bunch of liberals saying it. I hear the Right-wing saying it constantly but I never hear the Left saying it. Now you also say that many, many people find this message attractive, even though you never hear Democrats saying, "Hey, quit your jobs and live off of Uncle Sucker". Isn't it just possible that the Right-wing finds this a convenient narrative and that in reality, you can't come up with an honest number of people that actually say these types of things and you certainly can't come up with numbers of people that actually live off of the government and prefer it that way. You are simply projecting your opinion of these people on them. I know people in all walks of life and I have met damn few that have the attitude you describe. You of course seem to think that you know countless people that live this way. I seriously doubt that and have no interest in hearing another story from you anyway. How about all the corporations that live off of the government through corporate welfare? What about all of the farmers that receive subsidies from the government? This is easily provable and yet you ignore them for the fantasy that there are all these people sitting home collecting Social Security checks for being disabled, elderly, underage, or with health issues and like it that way. What a putz!
