What is Romney Afraid of? Release Your Taxes Sir!

You gotta know Romney is hiding something when he is this adamant about only releasing 1 year of taxes and promises to release another year when they are done. This stinks to high heaven and Romney knows it.
Can anyone really defend the wealthiest guy ever to run for POTUS not releasing multiple years of taxes as every other politician has done including his own father in 1967?
George Romney said, "Release of the document, while it might serve a political purpose, would not prove very much, he argued. One year could be a fluke, perhaps done for show, and what mattered in personal finance was how a man conducted himself over the long haul."
Romney is clearly hiding something and this issue is not going to go away by just refusing to release the documents. Drip, drip, drip….
The same people insisting that they see Obama's birth certificate seem to be mute on seeing Romney's taxes. Hypocrites!

 

Romney should release his tax records. Anyone running for public office should be held up to such. However, how in the heck can anyone from the left,especially those news slime, say anything when it took Hussien Obama over two and a half years to show his birth certificate.

Are they afraid that once he becomes president he will have the CIA come up with new versions. After all it would be nothing new for the CIA to forge paperwork.

 

Name any other president that ever had to show his birth certificate. Name one! Not even McCain who was born in Panama. Nobody is asking for Romney to go above and beyond what everyone else has done. There is just no comparison here. Romney is simply hiding something that he knows is so bad that holding onto that rock in the midst of a relentless rapids is a better alternative than letting go of the rock to use a metaphor. Possible reasons that have been speculated are:
He paid no taxes in certain years.
He paid more to the Moron Church than he did to the government.
He was fined for not paying taxes.
He is afraid the Mormon Church will find out that they didn’t get 10%.
He is secretly a Billionaire.
He has off-shored 100’s of millions of dollars.
I mean, the speculation can go on and on until he releases them.

 

So...Romney needs to release his tax records to prove how rich he is? To prove he has money in foreign investments? That he pays tens of millions in taxes? That he gives his church millions?
Everyone with half a brain knows the libs only want to create yet another issue to distract from BO's failed record.

I hope Romney does not, and challanges BO to open his sealed records in exchange for ROmneys tax returns.

This is but another attempt to point at the rich guy all the while attempting to change the subject from JOBS and the economy and the miserable track record of our current President.

Funny, when I was a kid ( and you ) becoming rich was a goal. Millionaires were admired. Why is it the left is attacking success, playing the class card, and begrudging achievment?

To save Teddy some work, he had no thesis at Columbia University, and as best I can figure, he had none at Harvard University either. It is definitely not required for a bachelors degree (Columbia) and apparently not for a JD either.

Michelle is permitted to practice law if she were to activate her license. Its current status is simple inactive. In order to maintain it as active, you must practice at some stage of the game.

Pelosi says she will release her tax returns ‘when I run for president’


House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who has called on Mitt Romney to release additional years of his tax returns, told reporters that she will only release her own returns if she runs for president.“ I said I think he should release his tax returns. That is the custom for people running for president. And why wouldn’t you?” Pelosi said Thursday at the Capitol.

“A person has decided that they want to run for president of the United States — a tradition that was honored by this same person’s father. Now, I’m not here — this is not important to me, let me say this,” Pelosi said. “The discussion about what the Republicans and how they deal with their nominee as to whether he should release — that’s really up to them.”

Pelosi added: “If asked, do I think he should release them, fine and I said to you last week, when I run for — did — was it here or another meeting — when I run for president of the United States, you can hold me to that standard.”

House Speaker John Boehner called the issue a “sideshow” and said his own tax returns are private.

“I have never released my tax returns. That’s my private business, just like it’s your own private business,” Boehner said at the Capitol Thursday.

“It shouldn’t be. It’s a sideshow. It’s — that’s all it is,” Boehner responded. “The American people are asking the question, where are the jobs. They’re not asking, where are the tax returns. And it’s a sideshow created because the president can’t talk about his record. He can’t go out on run on his record, so he’s got to create these sideshows to try to distract the American people from the real issue that they’re concerned about.”

Romney has released his 2010 and 2011 returns. Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain, who ran against Obama in 2008, also released two years of his tax returns.

You know, to be perfectly honest, Nancy Pelosi's tax returns and her income are her private business. I actually agree with Pelosi on this. Why should she release her tax returns? It shouldn't matter if she's Speaker of the House, Minority Leader or a candidate for President. Those are all extremely powerful political positions (well, except for the 'candidate' since it isn't even a political position, only a potential one). So, Pelosi says it's "a custom" for a candidate to release his/her tax returns. Well, that's a custom that should probably be broken. When did this "releasing of tax records" become such a big deal when someone runs for President? We know Pelosi is rich. We know Biden is rich. We know Obama is rich. We know Boehner is rich. We know Romney is rich. So what? Let's move on to something important such as job creation in this country.

 

Pelosi was 2 heartbeats away from the Presidency for, what, 4 years and she didn't release her tax records? She should shut it.

 

Anybody and everybody knows this is a distraction. We are not talking about the 6 TRILLION in added debt, double digit REAL unemployment rate, and the rest of the failures of this administration. We are talking about someones tax returns.

 

And still Romney will not release his taxes! He was even forced to retroactively adjust his tax returns in order to run for Governor but we are supposed to trust him now that there is nothing to hide. This man is the orginal snake oil saleman. It figures that he hails from the Right-wing.

If you believe Romney, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that you just might consider purchasing. I also have a large amount of swampland that I'll let go for a ever so small price. Geeesh!

 

Because it is neither required nor is it necessary in their positions. I personally wish they all would release every detail of their financial dealings but especially the presidential candidates. Why do so many elected officals get rich while in office? I'd like to know.

Why is it so important to know how much a candidate paid in taxes? Is it a Constitutional requirement if he or she is to become president?

 

Not only that, but most (all?) of Romney's assets are in a blind trust. He had no say in their location. BTW, that is just like Obama and Biden who both have investments overseas. However, they did have some say in their disbursement.

I'd like to know why Roseanne Barr (who is running for President of the United States under the "All-Night Party" or some such) hasn't released her taxes. Release those taxes, Roseanne! Nah, on second thought, don't release them. They're your business. We know you're extremely wealthy and it's really no one's business how much taxes you pay. Keep 'em secret, Rosie.

 

This distraction is working just as the dims had hoped. The idiot libs are pushing the issue nationally & taking the attention away from BO's miserable record.
