His own grandfather was the result of a polygamous marriage. So what are we to make of it when he now says he supports “traditional” marriage? Hello sister wives! What a first class hypocrite this guy is.
Yes but he isn't a left winger and so something that his Great Grandfather did must dictate what he does today, providing it gives the left an excuse to attack him. American politics don't ya just love the absence of childish arguing and name calling.
I wonder what they would do if they ever bothered to look at Obama's father; Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/books/article-2024819/Barack-Obamas-father-Bigamist-drunk-wife-beater.html#ixzz1w574hGzi
As usual, you intentionally miss the mark. The RW nonsense about traditional marriage going back 5000 years (because that is how they think the world is) is a bunch of BS. Even Romney's own recent relatives didn't heed the one man, one woman nonsense he is pushing today. Attacking someone for their hypocrisy needs no excuse. The hypocrisy is all you need to attack. Is it really "name calling" if the guy is actually a proven hypocrite?
As usual? I wasn't aware I had posted enough here to have a usual style, thanks for noticing me that much. As an outsider I find it a little difficult to see how it can be justified attacking Romney over the actions and beliefs of his Great Grandfather, whereas the actions and beliefs of Obama's Father and Grandfather seem to have nothing to do with him. But then as an Englishman I am not up on the nuances of American politics.
Obama is (once again) in favor of gay marriage (at least for now) even though he, himself, is the product of a heterosexual union. Since his parents were heterosexual shouldn't he advocate ONLY heterosexuality?
Exactly what is Obama advocating for that his relatives would against? Please define your English logic here.
You stated that Romney's Great Grandfather was a believer in polygamy and therefore as Romney isn't he is being a hypocrite. Well correct me here but hasn't Obama senior been accused of being a bigamist and I think also he was blacklisted by your state department in '59 for being a terrorist, so like father like son there. Now I don't believe your president is advocating bigamy or terrorism which it would seem both his father and his Grandfather advocated between them, so by your logic is not your president being a hypocrite for not believing the same as his relatives? Once again why should the beliefs and actions of our ancestors, no matter how close have any bearing on what we do or believe. Or do you truly feel that having an independent mind from your ancestors makes you a hypocrite? Joseph Kennedy for instance was a suspected bootlegger, does that make his sons hypocrites for trying to fight organised crime?
But, Vladd that is the idiotic mentality being espoused in this thread. Since Obama's parents were heterosexual it would be hypocritical for Obama to advocate anything but heterosexuality. That is, of course, unless Obama has free will and can make judgements of his own (which I find difficult to believe, but that's another topic entirely).
Your first sentence is either intentionally obtuse or you are playing semantic games. Here is exactly why. Romney has stated that traditional marriage (which he is in favor of) goes back thousands of years. 3000 years according to Romney. Romney says that we should not discard 3,000 years of history of one-man-one-woman marriage. Ahem. His own family were ardent polygamists only a century ago - and went to Mexican colonies to escape US federal oppression of their version of marriage (which also goes back a long, long way and still exists across the world). Romney's great-grandparents were polygamists; one of his his great-great-grandfathers had twelve wives and was murdered by the husband of the twelfth. For Romney to say that the definition of marriage has remained the same for 3,000 years is disproved by his own family. It's untrue. False. A lie.
The logic of the RW is always worth a smirk if nothing else. You have earned a smirk. And by the way, analogies are not your friend.
But is is even more hypocritical when he advocates gay marriage after he opposes it, after he favors it. Is there any way that cannot be hypocritical of just about everything?
BO's beliefs, values, opinions, etc are all subject to change depending on which group is offering him the money. Wouldn't it be interesting if a conservative cause offered him money to change his views on a topic...wonder what the price would be to get BO to speak out against killing babies? Mark my word, he'll go down in history as the most hypocritcal politician to ever plague our country.
Who could have seen that coming? The continuation of the idiot-fest. Remember, you can't respond. I love this self-imposed silence you girls have goin'. Of course it hasn't stopped you all from whining to the mods. If you don't like what I am saying then man-up about it instead of crying to the mods. You just come off like big babies.
We just call this dodging and weaving because you haven't the ability to actually make a cogent argument. You fit right in with the 3 Right-wing knuckle draggers here. They have taught you everything you don't know.
