Hmmmm....Romney's supposed bullying makes all the news yet BO's admitted bullying did not? I wonder why this is?
Teacher should be fired. Teachers are suppose to be impartial and not preach their viewpoints but rather encourage student to develop critical reasoning skills to form thier own based upon the facts and the needs of the time. I am pro teacher but teachers like this give that entire profession a bad name for those type of teachers really are not teaching anything but brainwashing. As for Hussien obama being a bully. That is not surprising for he was nothing like he sold himself out to be the first time. Just another cult of personality built around lies.
That case may be a bit extreme, but you are kidding yourself if you believe teaching with a political objective is unusual.
You right on many levels. The Federal Government is trying to get all of the States on the same curriculum page which is scary if one thinks how democracy is being taken away from the local school board and to much power of thought is being placed in the hands of so few. But the only thing I can have control of right now is my kids teachers and so far they have been very good with being objective and respectful to individual thought but then again I live in a heavily conservative area.
Someone in my family has been in teaching almost continuously since the 1930's. I have seen the govenment take control of too much of it. And it was just what my mother said would happen.
You would think that this would be a big issue but I am concerned that both parties establishment are ok with it.
My wifes best friend is a Jr High teacher in ultra conservative Mesa AZ. She has said she not dare share her politics at schools. Not because of the fellow teachers or students, but the union in which she is a member.
I wonder how long you guys can ignore the fact that the teacher in the audio recording said, "You will not disparage ANY president of the United States in this class" (paraphrasing) but of course that fact doesn't fit you narrative and must be ignored.
TEACHER: "You will not disrespect the President of the United States in this classroom". STUDENT: "I'll say what I want". TEACHER: "Not in this classroom you won't". Yeah, the school district was correct in suspending that Obamunist teacher. Hopefully, she will be fired. Good riddance!
... and the liberals, socialists and Marxists have tried to take over the educational system completely. They've succeeded to a great degree.
