Here's why we need tax reform

I once seen a picture showing all your tax codes etc in one pile and it was scary, so I agree with David it needs to be overhauled (good luck with that LOL) They are still trying to do it with our own and they are half the size of yours

 

We can still "hope" for "change"...

One problem with it is that no one will leave the damn thing alone. Each year hundreds of changes are made to the codes, which basically ensures no one person can ever know everything in it lol

The more they mess with it, the more issues caused, the more it needs to be messed with to address those issues. It's a perpetual cycle.

 

Why would you even care?
You've made it known you don't contribute, financially, to the well-being of this country so you don't have a dog in the fight really.

David that is not fair, whenever IQ purchases something he pays tax on it, you assume that he has never paid Income tax So yes he does have a stake in the argument

 

Based on his posts I doubt he has paid any taxes.

 

To be technically correct, I am sure you mean federal taxes.

 

Again you shouldn't make assumptions David, by doing so you leave yourself open to counter claims about yourself and then you will complain to me that you are subjected to personal attacks.

Now if you took the time to read his posts you will have seen that he has been employed, I said the same to others here regarding your health status when they made claims regarding you.

 

I haven't wasted my time on this stupid thread because it simply represents another baseless factually challenged RW diatribe with nothing more than the opinoin of a partisan hack to back up the claims.

"I was watching CSPAN and they said that blah, blah, blah...." Yeah I'm convinced once again by yet another story of "actual events" that mostly likely only happened in David's head.

 

What I love is his concern whining that people support the "well-being of this country" through taxes, yet he also calls for lower taxes and less government...can anyone say: "dualism"? ...how about "redneck"?

 

Yeah, lets lower the debt by decreasing taxes. We could also get more protection from the elements by poking holes in the roof. If lowing taxes increased revenues, we could simply eliminate all taxes and the Federal Government would be swimming in money. The sad part is that the RW'ers actually believe this kind of crap.

 

Actually I'm calling for a fairer tax system...one where everyone is asked to contribute. If this leads to lower taxes for some, I'm okay with that. Think about it: How much better off would we be financially if we had revenue coming in from 100% of the population rather than just 30%.
Remember, it's BO calling for the "shared sacrifice".

Yeah, lower taxes for some(rich people)?... less government(regulation for rich people)?... you're ok with that. People not being able to afford to heat their homes in the Winter, or feed themselves?... you're fine with that too... just as long as everyone pays your interpretation of a "fair share".

 

What possible objection could you have to the concept of everyone sharing in the responsibility of funding our government?

 

I'm just making a point that you are whining about most people not "supporting the country" by paying their "fair share" of taxes, yet you want lower taxes and less government for yourself and your rich buddies in the country clubs. Well, if your buddies in Tennesee will stop torturing their horses maybe people will have some sympathy for the rich bastards buggers.

 

Stop worrying about me for a moment....what is wrong with everyone contributing to the financial well-being of the country?
