Wisconsin, dead last in job growth in the nation! Thank you again Republicans! What is it you guys have against the workers in this country anyway? Sheeesh!

Millions spent on Orwellian TV ads by Scott Walker’s propaganda machine can’t erase his worst-in-the-nation jobs record.

MADISON – Scott Walker has the worst jobs record of any governor in America through his first year in office, from February 2011 through February 2012, and now the newly-released March jobs data shows the economy shed another 4,500 jobs in the month of March, including 4,300 in the private sector.

For yet another month, the overall US economy experienced six-figure job growth, and Wisconsinites are left wondering why we keep losing jobs here.

Over the course of the last 12 months, the US economy has added 2,099,000 private sector jobs, while at the same time Wisconsin’s economy has lost 6,100.
Over the course of the last 12 months, the US economy has added 1,899,000 overall (non-farm) jobs, which at the same time Wisconsin’s economy has lost 23,900.
“As the national economy continues to add hundreds of thousands of jobs monthly, Scott Walker’s job-killing policies – bought and paid for by wealthy out-of-state donors funding his recall defense – have left Wisconsin dead last for job growth in all of America. It’s shameful,” said We Are Wisconsin executive director Kirsten Crowell. “Wisconsinites turn on their televisions every day and see Orwellian ads that proclaim Scott Walker’s economic policies are working, but the cold hard facts show that Walker has the worst jobs record of any governor in America.”

The only so-called “bright spots” in the unbelievable spin coming from Walker’s administration are a lowered unemployment rate and a claim that more people are working today than a year ago. Except Scott Walker didn’t run on lowering the unemployment rate, he ran on creating Wisconsin jobs, a metric by which is the very worst governor in America.

Furthermore, economists and a report released by We Are Wisconsin this morning show the drop in unemployment rates are due to factors beyond Walker’s control, and people leaving the workforce account almost entirely for the drop – a point Walker’s people were quick to point out when the unemployment rate was going up. The notion more people are working is a farcical metric made up by Walker’s flacks that is contradicted by the official jobs computation used every single month to analyze these numbers.

Let me see here! Obama has been in office for 3+ years, but the economy is still Bush's fault. Please tell me why Wisconsin's economy is not Jim Doyle's fault.

The recession is Bush's fault, the recovery is Obama's accomplishment. Does it take longer than 3 years to fully recover from a recession where the economy shrank at almost 9%, you tell me. How long should it take to recover?

    2008-2009 Recession

The worst recession since the Depression. The economy shrank in five quarters, including four quarters in a row. Two quarters shrank more than 5%, and Q2 2008 shrank a whopping 8.9%, more than any other recession since the Great Depression. The recession ended in Q3 2009, when GDP turned positive, thanks to economic stimulus spending. The recession was also the longest since the Depression, lasting 18 months.

    2008
    • Q1 -1.8%(-.7%)
    • Q2 1.3% (1.5%)
    • Q3 -3.7% (-2.7%)
    • Q4 -8.9% (-5.4%)
    2009
    • Q1 -6.7% (-6.4%)
    • Q2 -.7% (-.7%)
The recession was caused by the Subprime Mortgage Crisis, which then led to a global banking credit crisis.

According to Bloomberg, more people are filing unemployment claims & consumer confidence is at a 12 month low. I guess you can add this to BO's list of "accomplishments" you seem so proud of.

So you are agreeing that Wisconsin's economy is still Doyle's.

I heard this story earlier on Maddow's show. I have always been impressed with her, but rarely watch. But I figure, since I'm making an attempt to watch what FOX's idea of reality is, I may as well see what intelligent people have to say too. ;)
