These 2 words have become the RW political mantra as of late. Why is it that a politician never lies but occasionally "Misspeaks"? The real problem is that an ideology as flawed as the RW ideology is in this country is completely out of sync with the real world so when Paul "Eddie Munster" Ryan is spewing his twisted ideology, he inevitably runs smack-dab into a wall of reality which in this and other cases leads to lies that have to be challenged and finally withdrawn by those who speak them. Why would anyone listen to this idiot about any budget issue? Wisconsin Republicans are all brain-dead idiots as far as I can see.

Rep. Ryan: I misspoke on military generals

WASHINGTON — Rep. Paul Ryan says he's apologized in a telephone call to the Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman for accusing the military of not giving its "true advice" on President Barack Obama's budget plan.
Military generals are required under oath to provide lawmakers their personal views on security matters, even if those views conflict with the White House. In this case, Gen. Martin Dempsey had testified that he thought Obama's $614 billion plan for defense spending next year was adequate. Dempsey said he stood by his testimony, despite Ryan's remarks.
On Sunday, the Wisconsin Republican said he was wrong for suggesting the generals weren't on the up and up. Ryan said he "really misspoke."
Ryan appeared on CNN's "State of the Union" and ABC's "This Week."

When a RW politician "misspeaks" it just means that he has said what he actually thinks.

Which statement was misspoken here? Even when asked to clarify, he says exactly the same thing. Basicaly the Joint Chiefs were lying about the budget under oath according to Ryan. Now he comes out and lies about what he said. What a little creepy loser this guy is. We do have someone in a position of authority lying though, it just happens to be this pathetic fratboy loser Ryan.

Sometimes politicians have their press secretaries say misspoke for them.

I'd just like Mr. Ryan to say exactly which words were use in error. Even asked to clarify, he said the same damn thing. He didn't "misspeak", he lied and lied about his lie once he was caught. This is what passes for a rising star in the GOP? No wonder the party is such a mess.

No, no no... you misheard him......you misunderstood. So it's your fault! ...but I may have been mistaken about that. ;)

He's a Republican politician right? It's a given then that a lot of "misses" like that are going to occur. Reality isn't the most important thing to a Republican politician! :D
