I have to verify this, but I believe these sections of the "stand your ground" law are interesting (if true): 1) Section 776.032 (2): Dissuades and discourages police from arresting a person who claims: "self-defense" under the "Stand Your Ground Law" where there are no direct eye-witnesses, and 2) Section 776.032 (3): Prohibits family of victim from suing the killer in Civil Court for "Wrongful Death."
I believe this is the "stand your ground" law. It's highly likely, and probable.. but since that hasn't been proven in court... those who wish to ignore it can do so: http://www.flsenate.gov/Laws/Statutes/2011/Chapter0776/All
In my opinion... The man ignored the 911 operator and confronted the kid, and therefore will not succeed in using the "stand your ground" law as a defense, but I concede that that is my opinion only and that it hasn't actually been proven in a court of law. It's reasonable to assume that those two points are true, at least to a neutral viewpoint (but obviously not to those who defend the man), and I sincerely doubt that, if he is charged with manslaughter, the court would be convinced that he is innocent because of any reasonable doubt in the minds of the jury or judge. Again, I believe charges are likely to be brought against the man, and should be, and that it'll probably come down to a jury deciding what was more likely: The man ignored the 911 operator and confronted the person he was reporting as suspicious or the man did not, and it was the kid who confronted the man and the man felt in danger.
The fitting conclusion to this would be for Roseanne Barr and Spike Lee to lose a civil suite for publishing Zimmerman's address (both correct and wrong) and for the Black Panthers to be jailed for putting a bounty on Zimmerman's head. Those are facts, but with Holder as AG, I can almost guarantee nothing will happen to the panthers.
Name the last time an adult shot an unarmed kid to death on the street and was not arrested, charged, and had bail set while a case was developed by the local district attorney. Zimmerman not only hasn't been arrested, or charged, or it seems even investigated by the local police department. Heck, they didn't even bother to do basic forensics at the scene the night of the murder. When was the last time that happened? Plainly, the people asking for Zimmerman to be taken into custody want justice in this case where there seems to be a total lack of any being served. You can't determine guilt or innocence if you haven't even charged a person in the first place. The police in this case have decided for themselves outside of the justice system that Zimmerman was innocent and that is clearly not their job.
I do not watch enough murders on TV to give you a good answer, but his one come pretty close; http://www.partisanlines.com/threads/mother-kills-intruder-in-order-to-protect-self-baby.4162/ BTW, this"kid" you keep referring to would probably beat the crap out of you. And, since you say it has not been investigated, I guess it does not fit your mantra and you cannot believe the witnesses. I guess your mantra can turn anyone's facts to your own convenience. My guess is that with all of the attention on this event, it has been investigated more thoroughly than any other murder in the last year and not only by the Sanford police. It is not Zimmerman's fault that you do not like the circumstances, but it is the governments responsibility to assure that arrests are only made when there is some evidence and not just unsubstantiated and contradicted rumors. So far I believe they have done their job except to arrest the panthers and that crew.
Humm? You might try listening to this; http://www.clickorlando.com/news/Fr...life/-/1637132/9722180/-/e55273z/-/index.html. All you are doing now is digging your hole deeper as to why you should not convict him based the innuendo (lies?) you hear from the left wing media.
Very interesting interview. Of course you know that too many people on the left don't care if the man is guilty or innocent it is all about pushing their own agendas and the cause is more important then the individual. But in a democrat America, the cause is suppose to be protecting the individual.
LOL sorry but I have to ask this What proof do you have to back this up "BTW, this"kid" you keep referring to would probably beat the crap out of you" now you are as guilty as those you have accused of making a statement without prefacing it by saying it is your Opinion This is of course simply my opinion LOL
So he lost some weight at some point. He was still the adult, the aggressor, he ignored the police orders (and yes it was the police since Zimmerman didn't dial the 911 operator but called a police officer directly), he wasn't supposed to follow people or be armed with a weapon as was told to him during the neighborhood watch training, it was Martin yelling for help in the background of the 911 tape proven by a forensic analysis, and Zimmerman shot a kid to death. I knew when this first came to the attention of the public that Right-wingers would defend this gun toting murderer and they haven't disappointed. You guys are beyond reprehensible and you make me sick.
Yeah, I know. And he called Martin a coon, volunteered that he was black, the video show no possible injury at the police station, George weighed 240, etc. So far you are batting 0 for. Keep at it and you might get something right.
Two things: One: No, I have not listened to or read any published police report on this incident. Two: Was this report itself reported in any news? ...the "lame-street media" or whatever you call it? If so, are you asking me to trust that the "lame-street media" correctly reported information (the police report) in this instance, but haven't done so otherwise? If anything, it sounds to me like you are listening to and/or viewing coverage of it far more than I am. I thought you wanted to wait until the truth came out? Lastly, a police report is important yes, but I don't consider it as the sum-of-all-truth in an incident like this. That said, I'll probably read it eventually. Did you have anything specific to add that may have come from the police report?
I haven't verified that yet, but have heard it suggested a few times now... that the police failed to properly investigate the scene. If true, that would lessen the likelyhood of charges being brought against the guy. If crucial evidence wasn't properly gathered and the scene wasn't properly documented, then he may never be charged. Too bad the kid was unable to claim "stand your ground" ... what with him being dead and all.
You can't have your cake and eat it to. If you want to wait until the incident is officially called, go ahead... but by doing so you shouldn't be calling for arrests of other people, or using the witnesses statements. If your own view is that we should wait then go ahead, wait. You know what it means if you don't though. Moen has a word he likes to use for people that do that, and he'll use it lol
You are soooo lucky you added that last sentence, otherwise how would we have ever known! That said, I try not to make the mistake of judging a person's ability to fight based solely on weight, size, shape, age, gender, etc. At 250 -vs- 140 though, it's a more dangerous battle for the smaller of the two... the lard-butt might fall on him... (realization hits) ...wait, I'm 250!
The difference between 250 and 240? Not much. In the fighting World, a 250 lb person can lose a LOT of weight in a hurry for a fight. Ten pounds would be cake, sweat that out in a few hours in a lot of cases. Even a trip to the bathroom can conceivably cause someone to lose 3 to 5 pounds... depending on the circumstances of course. Add another pound loss if you really have to pee. Fighters routinely do everything possible to shed weight before a weigh-in, and 10 lbs is easy... even for non-fighters. If you have the will to of course.
I'll tll you what....I've been out of commission for a while but it seems moen & iqless haven't changed a bit. It's obvious they get their news from Sharpton & CNN (take this from someone who has had plenty of time to watch the various news reports over the past couple of weeks).
