Hey Breitbart, misquoting people is a RW staple. If you can change someone's actual words to mean the exact opposite, you have pulled a Breitbart. Again, the RW showing that it is morally bankrupt and desperate. How sad.

I did not misquote you. Every word was yours. I just summarized it to get to what deep down inside what you really feel but do not yet admit. You sir are a closet republican.

The best, easiest way to combat a lib is by repeating their words right back to them...liberal ideology usually can't sustain itself in the light of day.

You have to watch it here. The moderator does not like you to quote his word back at him even when specifically asked to do so.

Care to expound on that comment? I have made no comment nor asked that any one repeat them back! For the record this is my 1st comment in this thread, nor did I ever make the comment that you refer to

I never said it was you and I never said it was this thread. Moen asked directly.

And, no, you never made a comment directly to me. You just removed all of my posts. My assumption was that this was pointed mostly at me along with some other similar post by you.

I simply wish that if someone is going to quote someone, the mods would require that they actually quote the posts word for word instead of changing them and attributing them to the person that never made the comments. I know that they all like to pretend that they are little Breitbarts but there should be a higher standard here. I have misquoted them several times to demonstrate the stupidity of the practice but it seems to go over their heads in their desperate attempt to make a false point. I wish Peter would write this rule into the forum and hold people to it.

    OK, Here is your entire post;
Funny they and myself agree completely about you. "Damaging and completely false libelous comments" Seriously? So name one.[/quote]

NOTE: The first half of your second paragraph was your failed attempt to quote CoinOKC. So please show me what I have changed that is meaningful.

I just have to wonder if you are even capable of posting a quote that has any relationship whatsoever to any topic currently being discussed other than in your own head. You are SO bad at this simple writing exercise. Sad really.

Funny how you keep changing the topic whenever something comes up that you don't like.

"The Left Despises Freedom of Speech" is the title... my response therefore is to say "The Right Despises the Truth".

Looking at the arguments for both from a more neutral viewpoint:

The freedom to call someone a "whore" or a "slut" is regulated by the perceived intent of the accuser and the truth in the allegation.

In the Limbaugh comment, the intent was to slander the young woman, as Rush was uncertain if the woman was indeed sexually active with many people. He was angry at her her testifying about contraceptives. It was a sincere attempt to convince others that the young woman was indeed a slut, but failed to provide proof of the accusation.

Applying the same criteria to the Letterman comment about Palin indicates that Letterman was insincere about the accusation, that his intent was in jest. Letterman was not attempting to convince people that Palin was indeed a slut.

The two simply don't compare equally when looked at from a neutral pov. The righties want to say they are equally guilty, and claim calls against Limbaugh are unfair considering Letterman's comment. A reasonable person can easily see the difference between the two comments.

As for my comment that the "right despises the truth"? It's true that it's just my opinion, but yeah, I'm trying to convince others that it's true too... I'm sincere about it...:D

RLM I removed posts made by a few of you as you refused to heed my warning to stop bickering so your assumption was wrong it was aimed at all of you.
As for my asking you to expound you said and I quote "
The moderator does not like you to quote his word back at him"

Now as I am the Mod I can think of no one else you could have been talking about!

You made my point valid. Deep down you are bleeding Ronnie red as well as white and blue for you did what you said Republicans do and did it often which means you really want to be a Republican but just don't know how. As for being gay, I am not but if I was i would be proud of it and most likely be a Lincoln Log Cabin Republican.

Well, it was another "his" - the liberal. i.e., the moderator does not like you to quote the liberal's word back at the liberal.

Because he is a cross-waving hypocrite wanting to bring his own narrow minded version of public policy to everyone while scraping and bowing to his rich owners.

But, K there are plenty of liberals on this very forum who are hypocrites, but they still have a right to speak. The liberals who interrupted Santorum didn't afford him his First Amendment rights and that's just un-American.
