....as long as they aren't subject to it: http://dailycaller.com/2012/01/06/labor-unions-primary-recipients-of-obamacare-waivers/ Unions exempted, Pelosi & Weiner's constituency exempted, Mary Landrieu & Ben Nelson's constituency exempted? It seems that the pitch to gain support for Obamacare is that you can be exempted as long as you help it get passed & stick it to everyone else.
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I thought you people wanted exemptions... or did you mean you only wanted exemptions for big business and yourselves? I'm also guessing these exemptions are temporary, or am I mistaken?
I would like to see participation of the legislation made voluntary for everyone. What could possibly be wrong with that?
Me too, for a variety of laws. I wanna get drunk and steal a semi and drive around and through other people's home. I'd realy enjoy having an exemption for that. I'm joking, but the point is still somewhat valid. But fine, let me ask you a few questions then: Do you currently have insurance? (Assuming you said "Yes"...) Has the premium stayed the same over the years or has it increased (like it does for everyone else)? Do you believe you will no longer have that insurance once the new law goes into effect? What is your main concern regarding the new law, how do you feel it will affect you (if at all)?
I do have insurance. My premium has risen over the years with the biggest increase being a result of Obamacare. Remember this, under the rules of Obamacare, you are allowed to keep your current group or private coverage up to the point that your provider raises their rate. This piece was written into the law so those pushing Obamacare could publically state "you can keep your current coverage" and not be lying...technically. Everyone knows costs will rise over time & they also know Obamacare isn't sustainable unless everyone (especially the young & healthy) is brought into the bureacracy. I'll say this again, nothing changes for the people Obamacare is supposed to benefit. They have now & will continue to have the exact same gov't provided insurance coverage. What does change is the fact that everyone else will be forced into a gov't program without any say in it. We are being denied the opportunity to make our own decisions. The proof that this legislation is total crap is in the way it was passed. You had politicians, unions & special interest groups offer their support of Obamacare on the condition their constituents would be excluded from it!!!!! Think about that for a moment.
You'll get no argument from me that the congress passes laws in a corrupt way...I can't think of any law that gets passed that hasn't been influenced by corrupt people and organizations. I don't like it, but that's how it is in America. I do doubt your assertion that the new law is the cause of your rate increase.
