Fine, tell me what he actually said. Unless you want to do the Okie too. And I'm pretty sure you will.

Given the sound quality & amateurish filming I couldn't tell...there are many parts of the video that are difficult to understand.

So what word did he use in this interview? Was it also blahblah?

So what word in place of the word "black" makes grammatical sense to you?

And then there is this. What is surprising is that it is actually Fox News.

That sounds almost like you and your "angry white" except he did not use it derogatorily like you do.

I had completely forgotten BO's "above my paygrade" remark- thanks for bringing that up!

So, he says the word "black"...I thought you said it was an okay term to use.

Now, what do you think of Biden referring to BO as "clean" and Reid claiming BO can get his message across by using (or not using) a "negro dialect"?
It seems you are trying to make the point (rather weakly I might add) here that Santorum is a racist based on something he may or may not have said. These comments attributed to Biden & Reid (not to mention Clinton's comments) are the real deal.

Face it, the only reason this guy doesn't wear a white hood and burn crosses on peoples lawns is because his campaign can't afford the extra wardrobe and lumber costs and you probably can't get a decent white robe in a sweater vest. He is so clueless about his own biases that he can't keep his comments above the threshold of politically correct statements when he gets tired on the campaign trail. To be perfectly honest, I think that he is just such an political neophyte that he isn't even aware of what he is saying or what his words actually mean to people that are far brighter than he is. He is probably a nice enough guy outside of politics but he just couldn’t be more of an ideologue and never considers anything outside of his preconceived milky white world. This man could never be president no matter how much he and the rest of his fellow misfits say that anyone of them is better than Obama. If he actually won the nomination, he would make the McCain/Palin slaughter look like a neck-and-neck race when it was all said and done. And I wish him all the luck in the world during this primary race.

I noticed that they apologized and said that their words were poorly chosen. You don't hear that from Santorum or any other Righties because the base wouldn't want them to apologize because they want their prejudices spoken in public so they can one day say similar things openly in public. Because that is how they think.

...or is it that the comments aren't really racist? Me thinks you are just following orders to start a controversy where none exists.
    Good try though.

As for those dem leaders & their overtly racist comments, if you watch the videos, they know exactly what they were saying. They were being candid, they weren't trying to defend anything or make any real points, they made their comments in simple conversation- that's the real sign of real racism. Those clowns made stmts that required an apology, I don't see how Santorum's comments do.
Lest we forget, BO has been known to drop some pretty racist stmts himself- remember the stereotypical "typical white woman" comment?

For someone who doesn't think you ought to "condemn an entire social class", you sure are using an awful broad brush particularly when you have stated that it is not "a bad term".

You should should try to stay in the current conversation once in a blue moon. Your gotchas just never seem to quite pan out do they? So sad, just so sad.

Still not going to answer my question? I answer yours, but you don't answer mine. I see how it works now. You're pathetic.

I'm sure that you are so steeped in racist language in your life that they probably don't seem like racist comments but they actually are. The comments are just normal in your circle so it doesn't amaze me that you can see the racism, the gay bashing, the homophobia that permiates your existence. Like they say, never ask a barber if you need a haircut.

HM, if you stick around here any length of time, you'll see that some of us like to have a spirited discussion while others like to play little games. Unfortunately, it seems that this forum has devolved into a playground for some people instead of a forum for political discussion. I prefer a forum for political discussion, but when you have childish behavior slapping you in the face every time you turn around, well, sometimes you have to correct them. I regret that some of my comments may have been interpreted by you as a waste of time, but trust me when I say that it was not intentional. At times, in order to get someone to respond, it's necessary to nudge* them a bit.

    * Read Nudge by Cass Sunstein, Obama's regulatory czar (not a good guy).

That's not "spirited discussion." That's not "discussion" at all. EVERY ONE OF YOU ALL are playing stupid baby games and turning these forums into a waste of time. It's a blessed miracle from Jesus' hands themselves if a thread has even a single page of discussion before the UTTERLY RIDICULOUS AND TRIPE-FILLED OBNOXIOUS GARBAGE starts to spew. It's like I'm the only grown-up on a kindergarten playground and you all are tormenting each other with spiders, snakes, and mud balls in an everlasting round-robin of hate. I am all for "nudging" people, but this entire thread is nothing but a game of "gotcha," just like so many other threads that are filled with four particular posters' expulsions of self-love.

It's disgusting. No wonder hardly anyone posts here.
