Instead of the debate being about raising the taxed earnings cap or raising the payroll tax to fully fund the program, they are debating how to continue to underfund it by 2 percentage points. But don't worry, they will fix it 'later'.

There is no lock box of money sitting there providing all benefits through 2036. Or 75% through 2085. There are two workers for every one person getting a SS check and even that will soon flip. It IS lumped in with the general fund now. They are one in the same and as we have seen, are being treated as such. They will print money until everybody gets what was promised, no matter how bad it gets. Though, as Greenspan said himself, "They cannot guarantee how much the SS checks will be able to purchase." So the checks people are getting now might cover a month's worth of food for somebody. As the money creation gets worse and worse, people will be getting what they're promised but now may only be able to buy a half a month's food. You completely miss the big picture.

Anyway, back to the original topic.... are you really that desperate to start an argument? What's your definition of a job's program? The republicans weren't put in there to have a new 1 trillion dollar 'jobs' (spending) bill. They were put there so these phony, waste of money bills didn't go out any more! So what you're complaining about is Bohner actually getting the job done that they were voted in to do. lol But you don't understand that.
