To all my American friends here: Happy Thanksgiving!

And to those of you in other countries: have a safe, happy, and wonderful day, even if you don't have the turkey/ham or trimmings. We are having a turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce (both jellied and whole bean), sweet potatoes, turnip, and green bean casserole. Dessert is pumpkin pie, of course. The green onions in the stuffing and the turnip were picked yesterday, the eggs being used for stuffing, baking, etc, were gathered two days ago. Yay for living in a place with an 11-month-long growing season!

Take care to all of you--know that even if I'm not around today, I'm giving thanks for knowing all of you--even the ones that I butt heads with at times. I learn so much from all of you and give thanks for your all opening my eyes to new perspectives! *hugs* to all!

It's hard not to over do it with all the food around.

I made blueberry cobbler last night and my wife made sweet potatoes. We're heading to my brother's house.
All three of my brothers and my sister will be there as well as Mom. Dad passed years ago but it's not often all the kids and Mom are all together.

My brother and sister in law made two turkeys so it's going to be left over city. Hope they made plenty of dressing as I could live on dressing and gravy.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Even if you don't celebrate this as a holiday with a feast I suppose it's as good a time as any to reflect on all the positive people and things in your life. And if you do celebrate with vast amounts of food, remember that the leftovers are the best part.

I am very easy to please. All I want to eat is turkey. That is all it take to please me.
