From the Rude Pundit blog. Yes, this is an opinion piece and I find it hard to disagree with. You know one thing that's really hilarious about conservatives? How they preach the "personal responsibility" dogma and then, when they're caught doing something wrong or f*****g up, it's always someone else's fault. Asked something in a debate that makes 'em give an answer that reveals how bats*** or stupid they are? It's a "gotcha" question. It's discovered that a leading presidential candidate settled a pair of sexual harassment claims against him? He's now "a prominent Conservative targeted by liberals simply because they disagree with his politics." Read more at: http://rudepundit.blogspot.com/
You are in a forum that is nothing more than a blog for less gifted writers. It is what it is, stop whining.
So, if Republicans are the "party of personal responsibility" as you claim, does that make the Dimocrats the "party of personal irresponsibility"?
Well, it's not my claim, it is the Rude Pundit's claim. However, personal responsibility IS a mantra you hear quite often from the Right. And just because the Right claims to be the party of personal responsibility to justify their indifferences towards others, it certainly doesn't make the Left the exact opposite of the Right's phony claim. If you think about it, the exact opposite would actually be the Left claiming to be the party of personal irresponsibility and then they would have to be doing so only in order to hide the fact that they are doing so in spite of the fact that they actually have a lot of concern towards others. Confused yet? It IS a lot of words in a row.
Certainly Cain knew this issue was a possibility before beginning his campaign. Him giving me the impression of being blindside by the allegations indicating a lack of planning for the contingency certainly has left me under-whelmed.
Speak for yourself. I'm a professional writer. Personal responsibility is something that both sides should be claiming. The finger-pointing is getting old and as my sainted grandmother was fond of saying, "point a finger at someone and you have three more pointing back at you." No one is totally responsible for the Herman Cain sexual harassment claim but Herman Cain--if he actually did as is being said he did. Otherwise, the responsibility falls on the person making the false claim. The media is just a bunch of magpies screaming words that they think their keepers want to hear.
Yes, yes...if only it were say someone like...Clinton being the accused? Then...we'd only need the mere suggestion from ONE (maybe less) victim rather than FIVE to convict him. Speaking of magpies...what's the take via the Fox noise box? I'd check them out myself but I throw up after 30 or so seconds.
Tom, how does what you wrote have any connection to my post that you quoted? I put the blame where it belonged: on Cain. Are you so entrenched in playing the victim that you can't post anything else?
Again...I enjoy pointing out right wing lunacy (and there's so, so much material to choose from). Victim? No. I just hate republicans because they've destroyed our country. Anyway...so what's your excuse?
Clinton was accused, he lied about it, the case against him was proven...only then did he admit his guilt...then he got impeached for being a lying, cheating scumbag.
Yeah, gotta give him a pass..... I'll state again, if Cain is guilty then he is a scumbag and needs to defect to the dimocrat party immediately if he has any desire to hold public office. If he is guilty I wouldn't vote for him but I will withhold judgement for now....apparently the only accuser who has come forward is David Axelrods neighbor/workout partner. Hmmmm
Well, you guys better add the Newt to your list of scumbags too. He divorced his dying wife on her death bed, while fooling around on her, and trying to impeach a President for fooling around.
