    "Rosebud"...

...My interpretation follows along that famous last word, on how it was misinterpretted. While I see how religion can interpret it as a sign of his envisioning the afterlife as he passed, or something like that, my interpretation would probably annoy them. In my view, I could see saying that as a state of disbelief at actually dying... and realizing it. I might use similar words, substituting a swear of course... but that's me lol

Oh, I have no doubt that he could have seen just about anything. Scientists state that the white light that people see at the end of their lives is nothing more than physical response to the brain being starved of oxygen. He may have been astounded at how easy his passing was or at the cessation of the pain he'd experienced during his illness. My question wasn't so much of a faith vs. nonbelief question (in which case it would have been on the religion board), but rather it was more of "what do you think his words meant, knowing what you/we know about Steve Jobs?"

My guess would be that he saw a white light, went to it, got to the Pearly Gates, took his place in line, and then noticed that St Peter was using Google Search on an Android tablet to check the names of those who could pass through. Oh Wow. Oh Wow. Oh Wow. ;)
