I think as far as Presidential use goes GB has some sort of patent or corner on that technology. He would have been the one who perfected it after all. The only time he didn't need it is when God was whispering directly into his little mind.

Someday, I hope to find a board where people actually discuss the subject as intellects and professionals, without the denigrating and unnecessary personal shots. Half the time, I read their responses, and my brain says "Jane, you ignorant slut."

Thanks. I'm just blah. Took a claim tonight from a service rep who struck and killed the family dog in front of said family. Maintained all the way to the bitter end, got off the call and sobbed my eyes out. Thankfully, the call butted right up to my break so I had that option.

 

I'm sorry, that had to be rough. There was no win in that one. What can you do? We have cats. I can't imagine.

 

We have cats. In fact, I just had to let old girl out of the room. She loves to cuddle with the electric blanket (hips are getting stiff, etc). I was a happy dog owner for eight years, marriage tanked, he kept them, I haven't seen them since.

I'll always be a dog person. Cats aren't the unknown/sworn enemy they were for most of my life now, though.

 

I think this forum is really just a good reflection of the overall problem with our politics...too much criticism of the 'other guy', not enough criticism of 'your guy'. IMHO anyway. Substitute whoever and whoever for 'other guy' and 'your guy' depending upon your party.

 

That's where the hackery comes in. A really good litmus test is (in this case) name one good thing the President has done. If they can't come up with anything, et voila, it's a hack.

 

Word. I'm not a fan, but people who maintain that Obama has done nothing right, and everything he proposes rates a no from them even if it was okay with them before he proposed it have obviously got an agenda that is based on blind ideology and disdain for the truth.

I've read about a mid-1930's leader in Germany who did a lot of good things for his people... and I mean a LOT of things! They adored the guy. But, he didn't turn out so well. Now, I'm not comparing our Fearless Leader with that German leader, but sure the guy is going to do some good things. There may be cookies and ice cream along the path he's leading you down, but I still don't want to follow him because I know the path leads off a cliff. Enjoy your cookies and ice cream though...
