Life's too short to be seriously dreary all the time... I prefer to live a little. If that means being child-like at times, then I'll be child-like at times for the rest of my life
One could say the same thing about Hillary Clinton, but it's rather childish to talk about someone like that. Or that Hillary wears too much makeup. Or that she looks like a 2-dollar hooker in those pantsuits. Or that she has a bad odor like she doesn't wash her ***** often enough. I'm happy that people aren't saying such things.
Everybody likes a good Hillary joke. Your problem is the same problem all Right-wingers suffer from. You can't tell the difference between good humor and mean spiritedness. That is why just about every single comedian is left-wing. Does that ever bother you guys?
Mean spirited? In what way? I said I was "happy that people aren't saying such things" about Hillary. Maybe you're just too sensitive.
Dennis Miller is right wing and I'll put him against leftie Janeane Garafalo any day of the week. Although Janeane is rather funny in her own right.
Of the top 10 political comics today, only one is Right-wing. Here is a take on that situation I kind of like: For whatever reason, there aren't a whole lot of "conservative" comedians (actually, I can think of about 10 reasons, but I won't get into them here). So, as the only real conservative comic on the list, Dennis Miller represents a very different point of view when it comes to political comedy. Once a more liberal-minded Bush I basher (during his days on Saturday Night Live and as the host of his own often-political talk show on HBO), Miller has claimed that America's response to 9/11 changed his political views. He's since become the go-to comic for the conservative right and FOX News, but lost most of his edge in the process. It's not just that I disagree with most of his politics; it's that he simply isn't as funny anymore. Right-wing comics just come off as mean.
And yet you brought up a number of unflattering characterizations of her anyway. Maybe you're just not as clever as you think you are?
I would say most right-leaning entertainers are putting their careers at risk if they are too overt in their beliefs...it's certainly not a secret that most in the arts & entertainment business are lefties. Plus, the market is huge for lib comedians because that is where most of the liberals get their information from. Remember Air America? I mean, c'mon, the party that elects someone like Stuart Smalley to the Senate? That's a joke in & of itself.
There might not be all that many RW comedians, but there's no shortage of RW jokes. The Republican Party is full of them.
The next time you guys are watching comedians I want you to notice the difference between the humor styles of the left & the right. The left uses extreme caricatures to paint their targets as something they are not (think Bill Maher or Tina Fey) while the right simply repeats what the libs actually say & do.
One could bring up many "unflattering characterizations" of Hillary such as saying that she has the face only a mother could love. Or that it's surprising that she doesn't split the seams of her pantsuits due to her ample derriere. But, that would be mean-spirited and I wouldn't want to say something like that. In fact, I don't know why anyone would.
You must be reading my posts through your typical liberal haze again. I'm not saying those things about Hillary. I'm simply saying that one COULD say those things, but it would be mean-spirited.
I did. But you're a good example. You haven't posted a single substanative criticism of Christie, you have simply tried to paint a caricature based on his weight, same thing the left did to Palin based on her looks & accent......you probably didn't even realize you had fallen into that lefty trap did you? Don't worry, the left spends a lot of money to make it subtle enough that it kinda sneaks up on you.
You mean like I could call you a stupid idiot? ENOUGH BEFORE IT STARTS OK But of course I would never say that. Now I get it.And HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOL
