Partisan blindness affects 10 out of every 9 Republicans. There is no cure since facts have no effect on this debilitating disease. With research, we can end this tragic loss of information intake. Won't you give today so future generations will not suffer from General Open-mindedness Paralysis (GOP). Even a half a brain is a terrible thing to waste.
That question. (in bold) And that question. (in bold) And that (in bold) is where Blitzer went off the deep end into an alternate reality where he transitions somehow from 'Who Pays?' which Paul was answering to 'Do we let him die?' which is the total fallacy I was talking about. We don't let him die now. The question(s) are about who would pay. At least they were until Blitzer had an aneurism or experienced dementia in the middle of the answer. Hope he has insurance.
On the question of who pays, that is easy, the guy pays for his own hospital stay. How is that different than what happens today? He will certainly be paying for quite a few years if he doesn't sign bankruptcy like so many people do when they are saddled with huge medical expenses. Enormous medical expenses used to be and probably still are the #1 reason for bankruptcies in this country. In the scenario Blitzer spelled out, it is most likely that even if he had insurance it would have maxed out within a month or two anyway and he would still have to sign bankruptcy or spen the rest of his life paying his medical bill. Again, it was a dumb example. A better example would have been a child born with severe medical problems to a low income family. Who pays for the medical care for that individual for the rest of their life? Hum?
Hey, dr moen, phd, wanna break it to iq-less that this was actually something that has-been Alan Grayson ( a raging lib by the way) said before he makes himself look foolish?
Sure the right ran with it. Why wouldn't they? When an idiot like Grayson makes that sort of statement it should be put out there for everyone to hear...it shows the mentality of the left.
I think what IQ is saying and many others for that matter is that Alan Grayson predicted the Right's attitude. Let's see exactly what he said...
Then why would you say it was wrong for me to attribute it to the Republicans? They repeated the lie over and over and over to fire up their base, and woo Independents. You attribute the phrase to a Liberal, acknowledge that Republicans "ran with it", yet you say I'm wrong for stating that Republicans lied when they said the Democrats wanted old people to die.
Is it just me, or is David's response an example of circular-reasoning? Of having your cake and eating it too? Of being obstinate?
Perhaps I should go slower? A whacked out far left lib (Grayson) made the statement. It was false, obviously. What the Republicans ran with was the stupidity of Grayson's comments...they used it to show desperate the extreme far left was/is in regards to getting their healthcare scheme passed. And in case you missed it, Grayson was voted out of office during the next election cycle. Understand?
I do. You're obstinate lol You agree with me, but argue that the Republicans made it clear to everyone that is was a lie. I disagree. I say the Republicans spread the rumor intentionally to fire-up their base and woo Independents by repeating the lie over and over and over.
Can't you get that by spreading the lie, without calling it a lie, the Republicans only made themselves look bad?
How about what the chief dip does? Does this fit your category of lies? http://boston.cbslocal.com/2011/10/...-boston-teacher-in-jobs-bill-news-conference/ Then, I wonder why I had to look so hard for this one. Could it be our lame street media is trying to sweep it under the rug?
1) Because Republicans ARE for letting people die. We heard them yell it during the debate. 2) Republicans lied about the Patient Affordable Care Act killing grandma but apparently are willing to let people die themselves. 3) Republicans look bad because they seem to have no health care plan of their own but are willing to attack Grayson for pointing it out. 4) Grayson's comments were simply ahead of their time like most visionaries.
Oh, it was "them"?!?!?!!? Did you see "them"? Maybe "them" was a plant? Or how do you know who "them"speaks for?
