Nope. I don't expect you to see how both comments can be true, you don't appear to have the capacity to understand. I'd explain it for you, but inevitably it will become twisted and no longer be a reasonable discussion. It makes sense to let you believe that the comments are contradictory, rather than continue to try to make you understand something when your only desire is to argue.
DAVID AGREES I'M RIGHT! ...again, implied by your reply to my comment... I'm using 'David logic'... it's surreal
"Still" don't see? How long have you been trying? But to spare you any further heartache, I used "our" hemisphere the same way one would refer to where they live as "our neighborhood" or "our city". Simple enough?
Well. Let's see... We have "China is dangerous" with no supporting evidence provided except for an article about some trade and financial ties they're working on in OUR [caps mine] hemisphere. And then, "China is evil". Unclear exactly what that means even though it's supposedly "common knowledge" Oh and outrage that China is attempting to build closer relationships with countries, again in OUR neighborhood, as if we didn't have a few relationships of our own to the tune of 70,000 troops, a string of bases and listening posts, and our 7th Fleet in their front yard. China is such a convenient enemy, isn't it. As is the case with most convenient enemies all you have to do is assert that they are dangerous, evil, and sphere-of-influence creating and that makes it all true. Black and white, for us or against us. No nuance or understanding required. It seems to me that fear in various packages occupies a pretty big share of the shelf space at the Republican supermarket and it's sold really well.
Republican Supermarkets frighten me... ...though, you can buy someone's soul for cheap there! ...I got 3% of Romney's for a buck fiddy! ...it's so cold, I put it in a cardboard box and it acts like a freezer... coooool
Wonder how much Perry's soul goes for. He's said $5,000 isn't enough, but he hasn't told us how much is. I think it goes to the highest bidder.
$5,000! Sheesh! ....No thanks, I can buy the Chinese version for $3 at the local Wal-Mart, and it contains 33% less lead.
Hardly. I can't speak for IQ, but I don't think that at all. At least most of them don't. It's just that Republicans are such easy targets (in the figurative sense of course) especially the crop of loonies (imho mind you) that are running for the GOP nomination.
Simply put... "anyone but Obama". Hell, I'll take Jimmy Carter again over Obama, but that's not saying much.... View attachment 249
Yeah, all democrats are socialists. At least Carter was fun to laugh at. I don't laugh at Obama; he scares me to death.
I am not a huge fan of China myself given many issues. Counterfeiting being toward the top. However are they "evil" or smart? Or is it a combination of both? Here's one to chew on folks. They are SUCCESSFUL. Yep. They have a lot of money these days and are investing it overseas for "personal" gain. Gee, I wonder if "evil" Americans have ever done that? Methinks yes. Methinks yes every time I see "made in China" on a label. Has anyone here ever seen a "made in China" label and wondered how we could be helping an "evil" country by giving them jobs? Do those jobs help boost their economy? Shall we extrapolate here? We buy toys tainted with lead (higher than accepted levels in China but fine for export BTW) and tainted dog food for example. Why? - because it's CHEAP. Let's take a closer look at dog food shall we? Years ago dog food made in China killed a lot of dogs. Luckily mine and my wife's dog wasn't a casualty. She was diabetic and required a strict diet. Her food was more expensive and produced about 40 miles from our house. It was more expensive but our dog lived a long life. We have another dog now. We only buy U.S. produced food for her. Is it better? We hope so. It costs more. This goes to people food as well of course. Eating isn't cheap is it folks? My wife just got back from the grocery store. She bought some Tilapia - farm raised in China. For our health I hope it's monitored better than dog food. On occasion I'll buy shark, marlin etc. when on sale. It's always fresh frozen but never from the U.S. Tastes great but how do I really know? It could have been caught by some "evil" Ecuadorian. The stuff is always labeled and the fish within may have swum in U.S. waters for all we know but it's cheaper to buy it imported. My whole point here is simple. We help bolster other nation's economies because it's cheap. We willingly help the "evil". I did it today. It fits my budget. Now let's look at another angle. Chinese people in the U.S or even people that are of Chinese descent or even look Chinese for that matter. Sure it sounds racist but I'm a Caucasion male. Put a Chinese person next to a Japanese or Korean and I couldn't tell you what country they came from. Probably no more than I could a German, Swiss and Norwegian for example. Why are they here? Why not look at them as potential terrorists as one would look at a Muslim that is a third generation U.S. citizen? Are these people being questioned at the Mall of America? They could be plotting the overthrow of America after all. Should we set up some internment camps? Should we report them via the Patriot Act? I work in a coin shop. We have several people that look (and claim to be) Chinese customers. They tend to spend pretty good amounts of money. Should we ban them? Hell no! They are dumping U.S. dollars into our economy and more importantly helping pay my salary. They are suspicious though as they only want Chinese stuff. OK. I'm being extreme here but Frank Burns of M*A*S*H fame always feared the "yellow hoard" so why not. This post is open to intelligent discussion as well as idiotic spinning.
Yep, the Chinese that bought your expensive coins could easily be someone who'd send the coins to China in order to make counterfeits of 'em... that problem is rampant. You can even find video of them making the actual conterfeits! Many Chinese have been 'encouraged' to come to America (and other countries) and essentially commit what I'd call 'legal espionage'. They get paid to 'infiltrate' all types of technological businesses and send pertinent information like designs, research, etc. back to China where they can be copied or applied. It's quite brilliant, and enormously successful. I've also been following the illegal espionage (via hacking) that has been going on for decades. I know of one man who worked for the Los Alamos research facility back in the early 90's who discovered a hack of the computer systems there. He 'followed' the trail back to the hacker's computers (in China) and was able to 'watch' them infiltrate other facilities. He reported what he found to his supervisor repeatedly and was eventually ordered to stop his monitoring of the hackers. It turned out that by following the hackers back to a foreign country he was breaking our own espionage laws. He was investigated by the FBI and ultimately lost his job... while the hackers continued their free-for-all in all types of systems, including the military's! I said it once already, but it bears repeating: Brilliant, absolutely brilliant...
