That was my impression as well. He didn't want the President to say anthing that could be considered reasonable or workable. He wanted to be able to diss the entire speech but got cornered into having to actually work on the ideas.
Wouldn't you be uncomfortable too if you had to sit next to Joe Biden and behind Barack Obama? And God only knows what Nancy Pelosi left behind in his chair.
I'd be more uncomfortable with all the Secret Service agents beating me up for attempting to sit there.
Yeah, he couldn't have possibly been uncomfortable with the content, and whatever Nancy could have left there, Boner's tanning solution should have it all covered up by now.
Considering the lack of support coming from the leftists here in regards to BO's speech, I'm guessing you guys were as underwhelmed as the rest of us?
I can't speak for all the 'leftists', but in my case I'm not terribly inclined to speak, unless I see a brazen lie. I'm just not that much of a political extremist. ...now if you want to talk about the Packers...
Now I understand why you have branded me an "extremist". According to you, anyone expressing an opinion is an extremist, huh?
Did anyone catch BO insider Valerie Jarrett making her rounds this weekend? She was putting pressure on everyone to "pass this bill"....when questioned she had to admit the bill wasn't fully written yet. Oops! (One of those Pelosi "you gotta pass the bill to know what's in it" kind of things, huh?)
"Pure" Obama? I was thinking "typical" Obama. A big build up, a vague delivery & a dull thud when the facts are released.
Now that we have the second of of his speech, my opinion; Small businesses are getting a $250B tax incentive to hire people in their right hand so they can pay $500B for it out of their left hand next year. Maybe I am missing something here, but that sure does not sound like much of an incentive to me. I more sounds like the rest of Obama - bigger government spends more.
It's extreme if you dismiss other's views without checking to see if they have any merit. Dissing their views afterwards is fine lol
How do you know these "views" haven't been "checked"? Give me an example of where I'm guilty of this.
Most of the time you simply ignore the opinion and don't respond when you can't argue against a point someone else has made. You don't know how to respond so you ignore what they said. Is that a good enough example? (probably not IYO, but it is in mine lol)
