    Here is mine....
I found the most interesting moment in the debate last night the moment that the entirely white audience applauded for the number of people Rick Perry has put to death in his state since he has been Governor. If these supposed Christians stopped and thought for a moment, they’d remember that Jesus was put to death by the state of his day after spending his entire life preaching forgiveness, tolerance, and love. I know that people can do some pretty bad things but I seriously doubt that audience knew the particulars of the cases of the individuals that were put to death but applauded their deaths just the same. That leaves the audience cheering for the death penalty itself and not cheering for putting people to death for reasons that the audience actually had firsthand knowledge of.
Nobody up on that stage made as big of an impression on me as much as the audience did. Are there no black people in Simi Valley California? What does it take to get a black person invited to one of these debates, a token stab at the nomination? These clowns do not represent the America I see out my window but rather a small subgroup of extreme self-interested ideologues that want to shape this country in their image. That is not an image I or the rest of the world would tolerate for very long.

Goody! You could not make racial comments about the participants, so you make it about the audience. I guess by now I have learned to expect none less from you.

define "racial comment". That seems a little vague.

    DAH!
Comments having to do with racial issues for one. I am sure you will disagree with it, however.

    I think you mean DUH!

Are comments that point out anything to do with race bad for some reason? Whether they are accurate or not? Still not quite sure what your objection is. Why are you so sensitive to the topic of race? There certainly was plenty of other things talked about in my post but you only focused vaguely the issue of race for some reason. You never even bothered to deny that this audience, and the one at the last debate seemed to be completely devoid of minorities. I think it is an import issue since the Tea Party is often cited for being almost exclusively populated by white people. I looked for something that will alter that perception and again found nothing. So what is YOUR issue here?

    Perry fancies himself a prophet....

During an interview with Neil Cavuto on FOX News this afternoon, Texas Gov. Rick Perry was asked about the criticism he’s received at home from Texas’ newspapers, fellow Republicans and opposition Democrats.
“The prophet is generally not loved in their hometown,” Perry said in response to the question.
He also was asked about when he thought he would have to make a decision on whether he’s running for president. He told Cavuto that there probably is a drop-dead date for getting into the race, but that he didn’t think he would have to make a decision this month. Perry also said that his wife is encouraging him to mount a bid for the White House.

I figured you would change the definition. Use it as you wish. Me sensitive to race? I did not bring it up. You did! " entirely white audience"; "no black people in Simi"

As for comments about the "debate", I have none. I did not watch it and do not care to watch any political linguistic games by the left or right. I decide who I support based solely on what they do. Everyone of them can say anything, but it is only what they do that counts to me.

I know who brought up the issue of race but what I don't know is why pointing out the basis for the stereotype is so wrong in your opinion. It was an entirely accurate observation. Are you trying to say that I shouldn't talk about it? If so, why?

What they "do" is run for office. If you don't watch them, what exactly are you expecting them to "do"???? Other than run for office of course? Thats like their full-time job right now.

Because you are always the one who brings up the issue of race - every single time. And it is always brought up in a negative tone. We "angry old white guys" would really like to know what your fixation is. Or do I need to remind you again of your previous rants and racist comments.

So I shouldn't bring it up because I always bring it up every single time and I always bring it up in a negative tone. Do you think a lot of black people or other minorities would consider my tone negative or pretty much just Right-wingers? Because I can't see how pointing out the lack minority participation in these events is going to actually offend them but on the other hand I can see how it would offend Right-wingers because they have no counter argument to what I am saying. I don't know how to tell you this but maybe you have noticed that I am not all that averse to offending Right-wingers with the truth.

This "old white curmudgeon" would like to see proof of your allegations. Something more than just your words. BTW, you are so far from offending me with your "truth" it isn't even funny especially when your "truth" requires dictionaries to change their definitions and/or have zero support (or at best some liberal blogger's support).

OK Let's try and stay on topic here. My proof is the people sitting in the audience at both debates. You can look on YouTube and watch both of debates and count for yourself. Here are they are:

Now count how many people you see that are a member of a minority class. It won't be easy. I think the first debate kept a low light on the audience for some reason. Now where is your proof to the contrary?

I give up on Ames. Just one screen shot on the second, I counted 14. I needn't go any further. Now have fun with you and your cohort. I doubt he will bother to look at it.

Sure you did. Would you mind telling me how many minutes into the YouTube video you saw all those minorities? I watched the entire debate on high def last night and I didn't see one. You have managed to see 14 on the lower quality YouTube video? Why do I think you are lying again?

I answered what you asked. Now if you doubt that I could find them in that "lower quality YouTube video", can you please tell me how you managed to determine that the audience was "entirely white". Or did you get caught with your foot in your mouth again.

Oh come on! The proof is right here. You can prove me wrong just by telling me exactly how many minutes into the video you saw all these minority folks. Saying that you answered my question by lying to me is well, just lying. Give me the the minutes into the video you saw all the folks and I'll pause it right at that point and look for myself. Don't take the cowards way out again. In your answer just give me the minutes. I don't need to know anything else just the minutes.

OK. When you show me proof that "A cohort is a group of people not an individual", I will show you the minorities. Have fun!
