Just an FYI here, usually when you make a statement like "right-wingers say......" it is good to be able to prove "they" actually said it. Otherwise folks here will simply believe you are making it up. Are you?

 

What use do ideologues have for proof? It won't change the paranoid message looping through your Fox supplied narrative anyway.

So far, not one Right-wingnut has condemned Fox for pulling a Breitbart. Clearly Hoffa's words were taken out of context and truncated to make them sound like he was saying something he never intended to say so that they could feign outrage which of course is exactly what they did.

What I find hilarious and of course typically hypocritical of you is that you didn't mind at all when Bachmann said the same thing all while calling the Obama Administration Gangster Government and bad guys. But thats OK because she is a Right-wing Tea Partier and an actual sitting politician saying it instead of a guy who isn't an elected official and has the right to say whatever he wants since he isn't actually a member of the "government". Hoffa is a private citizen and you are outraged that he used the term "take 'em out" while referring to voting them out of office while an elected public representative uses the same term while defining the people she wants taken out as bad guys and gangsters. So, riddle me this...how can you be perfectly okay with Hoffa's threats but upset that Bachmann may or may not have said the same thing? Odd.

 

Seems they got themselves in a corner when they went after Palins cross hairs. It is OK for hte left, but not for the right just does not work well.

 

That's a stupid question but because I like beating you like an old rug, I'll posit this. Hoffa didn't threaten anyone. Only if you believe Fox's truncated account of his speech and suspend reality did he actually threaten anyone. I don't.

It isn't in dispute that Bachmann said the same thing but she was actually making a far more threatening statement when you know that she threw in the terms gangster government and bad guys. You can Google her words as I did from her tax day speech last spring. I know you won't because the truth isn't what you seek. Ideology is your quest.

Right-wingers are sort of like the conspiracy theory nuts. When presented with something that directly contradicts their ideology, they simply see more people in on the conspiracy. Now who is running away from the "take 'em out" comments Davy boy? I could do this all day with people like you on the other side.

Why didn't Hoffa simply say "vote them out" if that's what he meant? Or "get them out"? No, he said "take them out". Given his family & union connection to organized crime I believe his statement was exactly what he intended it to be. And BO apparently agrees with it as he shared the stage without a peep. These lame attempts by the left to sell the spin reminds me of the old BO handler's trick of "it's not what he said, it's he meant...." All of these dodges, justifications & excuses from the left are amusing.

 

Hoffa isn't an elected politician. He can say anything he wants. What's Bachmann's excuse? The only dodges and justifications seem to be on your part.

It doesn't look to me like there is any doubt that she said it and I don't see how saying that there is a possibility that she might not have helps your case. If you refuse to concede even simple easily checked facts if you don't feel they suit your purposes it doesn't seem to bode very well for a productive discussion.

 

It totally amazes me that the left gets so upset when Sarah used cross hairs to indicate where she wanted to pay attention to a district, but when the left says "The Republican V.P. nom would be "gang-raped by my big black brothers" if she enters Manhattan", "Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him. ", "Rush Limbaugh choking on his throat fat – that you know, to me, that is not a threat. I can’t, I wish I could, but I can’t reach into his throat and jiggle up his throat fat so he suffocates.", “Nazi sympathizer.”, "don't get sick," he said; and if you do, at least have the good sense to "die quickly.", "he caught flak for calling a female Federal Reserve advisor a "K Street whore,", etc. everyone on the left is totally silent.

 

Would it kill you to provide a few links? I remember the "don't get sick" one. That was Alan Grayson. Hardly qualifies as hate speech imo. The others aren't nice, although I think Limbaugh has lost weight and probably doesn't have enough throat fat to choke on anymore. At any rate, I'd like to know who said them, when, and where. What's with just tossing out stuff like this without attribution?
