Fox Doctors Hoffa Speech To Fabricate Call For Violence September 05, 2011 4:55 pm ET by Matt Gertz Right-wing bloggers misled by dishonest Fox News video editing are attacking Teamsters President James Hoffa, Jr. for supposedly urging violence against Tea Party activists during a Labor Day speech. Conservatives are also attacking President Obama, who appeared at the event, for "sanctioning violence against fellow Americans" by failing to denounce Hoffa. http://mediamatters.org/print/blog/201109050003
It is no skin off my nose if the President wants to associate himself with that kind of rhetoric and language before what is little more than a campaign speech. I might chuckle a little more at his next lecture on civility and political discourse but so what. Same with the Republicans. I have no sympathy for them complaining about what Hoffa said. It is all fake outrage on both sides anyway.
I guess you and junior no longer respect the president. Remember these words asking everyone (and I am sure most particularly his followers) to tone it down;
Frankly, I'm at the point where I think the Left should ratchet up the rhetoric. You can't have one side calling for "Second Amendment solutions" regularly and not respond with something equally forceful especially if your only critics are the same people calling for Second Amendment solutions. If the term SOB offends a few of them, too bad.
Pretty weak attempt to spin something he now wishes he hadn't said. He could have said "get 'em out" or "vote 'em out" but no, he said "take 'em out". Everyone here knows what Hoffa meant but now the lefties are running from it. Geesh.
I will listen to the Right-winger criticisms of the Left's rhetoric the day they are critical of the rhetoric Right-wingers regularly spew. Until that actually happens, it’s just the pot calling the kettle black and all the credibility that always engenders. Hoffa merely asked people to go out and vote those SOB’s out of office. How is that calling for violence? You have to edit out, "Everybody here's got to vote." before it sounds like he is asking people to go out and get violent which is exactly what Fox did. If a media outlet I watched ever pulled something like this, I’d never watch it again. Right-wingers cheer it on because they are brain-dead ideologues. You won't see one of them condemn this deceitful practice.
Exactly the same way Sarah Palin did with her cross hairs. I seem to remember you being on the other side of that discussion. You had better turn you TV/Ipad/pod or whatever you use off. Every one of them has done it - multiple times.
As opposed to Right-wingers saying Second Amendment solutions? What exactly is a Second Amendment solution? What is armed and dangerous supposed to mean? Call those things out before you try and level criticisms at the Left. I know you won't do that.
At least the Left isn't actually raffling off guns to raise money for their candidates. TUCSON - The Republican Party in the county where a deadly Arizona shooting rampage took place drew criticism for raffling a handgun for a get-out-the-vote fundraiser. But Pima County Republican Party officials said they sold all 125 of the $10 tickets available for the Glock 23 that came with three 12-round magazines, an adjustable grip and a case. Interim party chairman Mike Shaw tells the Arizona Daily Star the publicity fueled such demand that the GOP also raffled a deer rifle. The raffle for the .40-caliber Glock garnered worldwide attention because it was organized eight months after the Tucson shooting spree that left six people dead and 13 others wounded including U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. Read more: http://www.azcentral.com/news/artic...ans-gun-raffle-giffords-ON.html#ixzz1XBqXO84T
Yep, really! Please post the links & I'll take a look otherwise one can only believe you're making it it up.
Oh I think you're a big boy. Try Googling it unless you're afraid of the answers you might find which is what I tend to believe.
A distinction only a coward would fall back on, but fine. It's not fake outrage, I am just unsurprised again by the Right-wing.
I believe you brought up these supposed quotes, I'm just asking you to show me. You can provide proof of your accusations, can't you?
Of course I can and so can you. That was my point Duh! You want me to prove that Right-wingers, at several levels of the GOP mind you, are using the term Second Amendment solutions? You know it as well as I do or anyone else here for that matter. You can take it as truth it or keep playing dumb but if you keep asking I'm going to have to assume you aren't playing.
