I suffered through a conversation with a lib last night- you know the type, another one of those people who still thinks everything is Bush's fault, especially the economy. There was one question he couldn't answer though! How can the economy be Bush's fault when the BO admin called the summer of 2010 the "Summer of Recovery"? Follow me here. If we "recovered" in 2010 as the admin proclaimed, how can it be Bush's fault now?
What? You can't find a defense for what I posted so you resort to this? Just ask br moen, phd- I've never claimed to be non-partisan.
What is "extreme" about what I posted? Simple question. How can the BO admin claim last summer as "The Summer of Recovery" but go back to blaming Bush for current conditions?
I'm more moderate than you (virtually everyone is lol), and can site a policy of Obama's that I don't like. Could you site a policy of Bush's (Sr's or Jr's) or Reagan's that you don't like? I'll start. Obama's 'Cash for Clunkers' program. While I understand his reasoning on wanting to remove older vehicles (emissions issues), I did not support the program. What he failed to realize (or failed to care about) was that his program would only hurt the poorest people in America, and cause a shortage of (cheap) parts for the parts industry. The vehicles that were destroyed were, for the most part, not clunkers. They typically had a dozen (or more) years of usefulness in them before reaching the poorest people, the 'end' users, who would have driven those vehicles untill they couldn't be driven any more and scrapped them. By destroying perfectly good vehicles, he lessened poor people's chances of finding affordable transportation, which lessens their ability to get work, etc. There ya go lol But I'm betting you will not want to site a policy from your party that you dislike, though I'm sure there are some. You do have some points, but they are dismissed by most since they come from an extremist's viewpoint. My point is that if you want to be listened to, and get your points across, you need to move to a more moderate position
Maybe the video has another meaning? The jack-ass is the party faithful, the man is Biden. It's symbolic of BO and the party screwing Crazy Joe & dumping from the ticket in '12?
See, here's the deal....I don't care if you want to listen to me (although there is every indication that you do) or not. Softening my stance on issues I feel strongly about would be hypocritical and I'll leave that to the left. Now in another thread, dr moen, phd, asserted I was not empathic to those who had lost (in his words) "the social lottery". I challenged him to prove but alsa he could not. Here now, I will challenge you to show an instance where I have been "extreme"...not merely areas where we disagree but "extreme".
Actualy I can David there is a diffrence between saying it is the summer of recovery and saying that the economy HAS recoverd A recovery can be a ongoing thing while saying something has recoverd means the problem is over. Personaly I think he was way to eager by giving the pronouncment that he gave but he was not the only one, other leaders world wide were only to happy to join in saying we is on the road to better times LOL Our own lot over here were echoing the same refrain as were the Germans the French etc LOL Politicaly it is called trying to create a feel good factor which at times can give a economy a boost but this time there were way to may underling problems
I could say "You first"... since I asked first, but then we would be here all day bickering. So... ...you challenged me to show an 'instance' where you have been extreme. I'll have to start by explaining that an extremist rarely thinks of him/herself as 'extreme', and you didn't disappoint me lol Now, you want an 'instance'. An interesting word to ask for, since your extremism is more pervasive than a momentary lapse in judgement. I will try to explain this, but I'm betting you will dismiss it outright, so I doubt I can get my point across to you. My point is that you are an extremist because you attack liberals and Democrats relentlessly while ignoring anything your own party has done that you may find objectionable. You prefer to call it partisan, and it is. My point is that they are the same lol Furthermore, my view is that your extremism, harmless as it is, is kin to the more harmfull extremisms out there. It doesn't take much for someone with extremist's beliefs to go over the edge and I want you to be aware of that. Rant all you want, just don't go nuts lol
Speaking out is now "extreme"? Pointing out the stupidty & hypocrisy of the left is "extreme". With your post, you strike me as the type who would fall in lock step with a censorship act designed to end "extreme" rhetoric. I guess our definition of "extreme" is just different. I call outright lies extreme (see dr moen, phd's many comments about conservatives being racist, unempathic and so on). I call tomc extreme for hating all things American. I don't consider what I do..posting links & commenting on things the left says & does....the least bit extreme.
