Well, I know this is an old argument, but I would like to hear an answer from you on it: Did you support the U.S. invasion of Iraq, and why (or why not)? I trying to find out if you were blinded by the overwhelming patriotic spirit present in America at the time, or if you were aware of what the administration was doing. Most people in America were blinded, but I doubt most on here (including you) were that easily manipulated.
I did support the US invasion of Iraq. I believed that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction although I don't think they were a direct threat to the United States as claimed. I understood what it was, W was finishing what his father didn't. Since I was very angry that Bush Sr. let Saddam off the hook the first time, I was glad we were going in to get him once and for all. Having said that, I don't agree with the absence of an exit strategy in either the Iraq war or Afghanistan.
We should have given warning to clear out of Medina, nuked it and told the world that if there were any other attacks upon us that Mecca would be next. 911 was a Saudi thing if you look at the list of terrorists involved and where the money came from. As is the Saudis sponser most of the terrorism in the world with the Paki military elements second. There was no reason to go into Iraq. I believe they had mass weapons of destruction, the Israelies blew up a few sites in Syria where some think it went, but it was in case of need against Iran not us. But the Saudi's and their gulf nation cousins wanted him out.
