How do the comments I make about BO relate to your claim that I don't answer questions? I don't see the connection?

 

McCain is whatever he thinks he needs to be in order to get elected. He is a centrist flip flopper who will say anything for a vote. In that respect, he is much worse politician than Obama or any other candidate who actually has principles and beliefs.

As for me, you just can't see past your own hatred. I remember saying early in his administration that I will not judge him until his term is nearly complete. I supported him fanatically during the Libya situation earlier this year. My support even got CoinOKCclown to change his sig line from WAR MONGER to WAR CRIMINAL, remember!

And though I am a centrist Republican in this country, I concede that the socialists running your country would view me as a conservative radical. I don't know what you classify David as if not a conservative. Surely you don't think he is a Libertarian? He maybe extreme in his views, but Moen is equally as extreme, if not more extreme. I never see you disagree with Moen. Can you explain that? I can, you are a left wing liberal, just like him.

Let’s just say that your opinion doesn't carry much weight here. Everybody has an opinion. The difference between the political Right and the political Left is that the Right can't tell the difference between their own opinion and actual facts while the Left prefers something other than opinions. Anecdotes are nice stories but they do not tell the whole story. You can't seem to figure that out.

 

Yeah, and I won't lose a minute of sleep knowing that you & tom don't agree with me. In fact, considering the source, having you two disagree is all the validation I need- And like the typical far left ideolgue you don't value any opinion unless it falls in line with the opinion the far left outlets tell you to hold.
As far as anectdotal evidence, it reminds my of what a professor used to tell me in school....and I'm paraphrasing...the acadamian spends his time studying what is supposed to happen when the rubber hits the road, the real proof and the real experience comes when that rubber actually does hit the road. You really come across as stupid when you demand specific proof but once it's presented you claim it doesn't hold water because it's contrary to what you are told to think will happen. And your dismissiveness of a man's opinion? Get real...that's what this forum is for. Geesh, what a hypocrite.

I can agree with David on one point, that disrespect for other people's opinions is part of the problem, especially in Congress. Without that mutual respect it's impossible to compromise.

 

How can one respect people like Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Rangel et al?

 

Disdain for policy is different than disdain for people. It's expected that there will be disagreement with policies, but disrespect towards people makes compromise on those policies more difficult. Don't like the other person? Fine, but don't villify each other to the point you can't work together or come to any type of agreement.

 

How is someone supposed to trust a Nancy Pelosi? A Barney Frank? A Charlie Rangel? They are crooked, self-serving hypocrites.

 

You're talking to the problem not a person that uses reason.
