So, what are we going to do now?

It is near impossible to lead down a difficult road when those who are to follow do not have the necessary courage to do so. Ask the military, followership is as important as leadership. The political climate in Congress is much different than it was just a few years ago, let alone 10 or 20 or 30.

My guess is that that is the leader's fault. A good leader can do wonders and make you think you did it your way

A CEO can fire. A General can court martial. Even a parent can discipline. A President can do nothing of the sort. Not only does he not get to hire them or train them or discipline them, he is he stuck with the followers that are given to him because he can't fire them either. This Congress would never make it through training let alone be able to actually be led into battle. Not only would they be to cowardly to complete the mission but they also have no concept of sacrifice for the good of the group.

Too bad BO isn't half the "uniter" he promised to be.

Well the good of the upper 2% of the group anyway.

You can't unite spoiled children anymore than you can herd cats. It was an admirable goal and certainly worth attempting but he forgot just who he was dealing with. But I suppose it is better to blame the guy you already don't like rather than blame those actually responsible for dividing the country. There is no deeper level of hate in the 9th level of hell than in the ranks of the Right-wingers.

Oh, but it was much more than a goal, wasn't it? It was a promise made by BO in order to get elected. If your defense it that BO "forgot who he was dealing with" I guess that is just further proof of how ill-prepared he was for the position.

Well, the market tanked again today....worst day since right after BO got elected.
It seems we are treading water (at best) in a few areas and sinking quickly in most others. Who is in favor of 4 more years of this mess? I guess there is a silver lining in this disaster for the far left extremists, they'll get the tax hike they've so wanted when we are forced to work a few more years than we had planned for to recoup some of the investments BO has cuased us to lose.

David care to tell me the name of a single US President who has carried out every single election promise he made? Why for once do you not try been fair, the guy inhereted about the worst possible economic situation when he took office, he has had to try and deal with fools on both sides of the political spectrum. You talk about leadership David exactly how united is the Republican Party theses days?? Until you guy's get your politicians to understand that there is no quick cure that Taxation has to be raised that cuts have to be made then I am sorry but your country is on the slipperry slope to Bankruptcy and I am talking as a person who has seen his own country actualy go through that
We managed to pull ourselfs out of it by sheer hard work and a lot of pain, thanks to the last big economic collapse we nearly ended up back in the mire At the moment we are managing to hold on to a fairly good economic position over here with slight but steady growth and our deficit slowly going down but we have taken some harsh measures, what you lot have done is the equivlent of a poor band aid over the problem What happens over your side has prefound side effects on the rest of the global economy try remembring that because if you dont you might well find forign investors pulling out

Cheering on obstruction and failure seems to be all the Right-wingers have these days. How pathetic considering it was 8 years of Bush policies that brought this country to its knees in the first place.

I'm certainly not cheering the devastation BO is causing, I'm lamenting it. I believe it is important to point it out though so that we avoid the the mistake this country made in 2008 when it elected an unqualified loser to the White House.
