A search of MSNBC did not reveal this story so I turned to FOX News who obviously doesn't mind reporting the news.
Huffington Post Forced to Issue Retraction, Apology After Falsely Accusing Andrew Breitbart

    August 3, 2011
Arianna Huffington’s liberal-leaning Huffington Post was forced to write a retraction Tuesday after alleging that conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart doctored a video clip from a White House press briefing in order to make it look like CBS anchor Norah O’Donnell was unhappy about the recent debt compromise during an exchange with White House press secretary Jay Carney.
In the clip, which Breitbart and other conservative media used to describe what they saw as O’Donnell’s liberal bias, the CBS anchor appears to claim about the debt compromise: “You gave them everything they wanted and we got nothing.”

The Huffington Post took their information from The New Republic’s Jonathan Chait, who claimed that the clip did not include a portion of the video where O’Donnell led into the quote by saying that Democrats were upset about the debt, not the reporter herself.
A careful examination of the clip reveals that it was not doctored at all by Breitbart, but that the beginning of O’Donnell’s quote was shrouded by ambient noise.

Are you really saying that liberal media actually admitted making a mistake? That has got to be a first for me, but I will give them credit for doing it.

This story hit the news yesterday (08/03/11), but I still can't find the article anywhere on MSNBC.com. Perhaps some of you computer gurus can find it. I've looked and looked, but they must have buried it where no one can find it. Talk about objective journalism....!

Thank you for pointing out what a responsible media outlet does when it makes a mistake while at the same time being completely complacent about Fox so called News who not only never bothers to correct their numerous lies and half-truths but employs people like Breitbart whom has already been caught doctoring tapes in the past in order to give false impressions of what the people in question are actually saying.

You're so willing to condemn a news outlet for doing the right thing that you seem to neglect that fact that it is exactly the right thing to do in this situation. It's not like Breitbart doesn't have a reputation for this type of thing and maybe he is just a victim of his own success. You can hardly blame people for being suspicious of his motives given his track record.

That is all the time I will waste on this pointless tread.

Thank you. I'm simply pointing out that MSNBC is remiss in reporting the news. You can judge the validity of their convictions for yourself. By not reporting the news, I believe they've made clear what their convictions are. They've demonstrated that they're a one-sided, partisan front for the liberal mindset and nothing more. Knowledge is the key to understanding and I doubt that anyone could form an opinion on any topic without having knowledge of the facts. If you wish to continue to bury your head in the sand, please feel free to do so. For me, I'll continue to receive as much information as possible (which includes both sides of a story) before I form an opinion.

Sure, you can Google it all day long and get hit after hit. Try searching for it on MSNBC (a very liberal, politically-motivated, hack channel here in the U.S.) and you'll find nothing but the blowing wind...

What I find remarkable about this story is that the Huffpo actually had a piece of original writing on their site, be it incorrect, as I was under the impression that all they do now is copy other people's work.
