Because hollow, blanket statements lacking in any kind of critical thinking or reason speak to you? Well you and David do speak the same language. Your posts are as lacking in critical thought as his are easily.

Did you even read what that idiot wrote, or is your support solely based on the fact that you are both ultra liberal?

Obviously, dr moen phd is willing to accept blanket stmts if they are made by a fellow left wing extremists and they further serve the left wing agenda he parrots.

I know what he wrote but just calling something dumb without any kind of explanation and then saying that it should be obvious even though I asked directly what he found dumb about it specifically, seems like an inability to articulate your own thoughts as well as just being plain ad hominem.

An Ad Hominem is a general category of fallacies in which a claim or argument is rejected on the basis of some irrelevant fact about the author of or the person presenting the claim or argument. Typically, this fallacy involves two steps. First, an attack against the character of person making the claim, her circumstances, or her actions is made (or the character, circumstances, or actions of the person reporting the claim). Second, this attack is taken to be evidence against the claim or argument the person in question is making (or presenting).

This is exactly what David did. He attacked IQ's character stating that he had the dumbest post ever implying rather overtly that IQ is dumb and then David used his attack as the evidence against QI's stated position. In other words ad hominem.

I didn't support the argument or refute it. I pointed out that David could not articulate his own reasons for his attack on the post. And he still hasn’t after repeated prodding. There isn’t one post that I agreed or disagreed with IQ’s position but I certainly disagree with ad hominem lazy arguments.

Well apparently, David and I disagree with stereotypical arguments like the one made by the IQless one. Does he really believe that religious conservatives are more prone to commit murder? That is ludicrous. Zealots of any persuasion can be dangerous. I would like to pose a question. When you think of murder in the United States, what is the first thing that enters your mind?

Moen does not think it stupid - because he agrees with it. I have had this argument with him once before. Sorry, but I cannot find it again, but he firmly believes that the violence is almost exclusively limited to the right wing radicals. On the other hand, this is what he said about the unions in Wisconsin.

When I think of murder in the U.S., the first thing that comes to my mind is the senseless violence perpetrated by gangs or family violence (against spouses, children, parents, etc.). When I think of terrorist attacks (or thwarted attacks) in the U.S., Christians are waaaaaaaay down the list. But I certainly place religious zealots of the Muslim faith at the top of the list (such as this recent incident in Ft. Hood, TX):

I shudder to think what carnage this Muslim could have caused had he not been caught in time...

That is what enters my mind first as well. Now how many gang members are devout Christians or belong to the Young Republicans Club?

I could say "Your post is without a doubt the most original statement made on this site ever"... but It'd be a lie. I don't expect you or others on here to believe my statement, it's opposite of your beliefs. But please, try to be more original... entertain me, don't bore me.

The fact is, a conservative-leaning man was angry with his government, set off a bomb to kill his country's leaders, and shot dozens of those leader's kids (while lying to them, telling them he was was a cop , there to help them). IMO, conservative-leaning men are more likely than liberal-leaning men to go on these types of murder sprees when they perceive their beliefs are under attack. Don't believe me? IDC lol ...but at least back that up with evidence of liberals going on mass-murder sprees. My evidence is all over the news.

Conservative-leaning men are more likely than liberal-leaning men to go on mass-murder sprees to protect their beliefs. This guy perceived a threat from his government, so he set off a bomb in an attempt to kill his country's leaders, then went on a shooting-spree, targeting those leaders kids. How many liberals have done THAT? I can't think of any, maybe you can point one out for me... I'd be willing to concede the point if you can prove that liberals are as prone to go on mass-murder shooting sprees to defend their beliefs.

As usual, you provide 'evidence' that supports your position... that is also off base. Those are leaders, the conservative-leaning man who set off that bomb and shot all those kids wasn't a leader. But you know that, you're not stupid... just manipulative. Show me evidence of a liberal-leaning man who has gone on a mass-murder spree to defend his beliefs... and I'll show you a dozen conservatibe-leaning men who have.

I have never heard of a gang setting off a bomb in an attempt to kill our nations leaders, to defend their political beliefs. I have heard of several individual conservatives doing that. I haven't heard of any individual liberals doing that.

You want to point out that liberals commit murder, I don't disagree. My point, which you glossed over, was that it is more likely for a conservative to go on a mass-murder crusade for political reasons... after a perceived attack on their beliefs.

Show me an instance of a liberal-leaning man setting off a bomb and going on a shooting spree in defense of his political beliefs.

So you are saying that it is up to your opposition to prove your theory wrong. Well, so far I have presented more evidence than you have (that being none) and to add to my evidence our evidence is all over the news also.
