In fact, it now appears that the suspect in custody is indeed a tall, blonde 32-year-old Norwegian man named Anders Behring Breivik, who officials described as a “right-winger with anti-Muslim views” based on previous Internet postings. According to the Associated Press, Breivik has admitted to police that he fired weapons on the island where the massacre took place. Screen captures of his Facebook profile, which has since been disabled, suggest that he was a self-identified Christian with “conservative” political views and interests in “freemasonry,” hunting and “political analysis.”

Must you always try to cull your agenda from the tragedy of others?

Thank you for updating us on this terrible tragedy. Do you have a point to make?

I'm sorry if "my" agenda offends you. I'm sorry if the facts that have come out after this tragedy offend you. I'm sorry that you find "my" agenda so much more troubling than Mr. Breivik's agenda. I'm sorry Monday morning isn't going that well for you.

Please let me know when it is OK for me to express my frustration over these Right-wing nutcases. You obviously have a far greater tolerance for these tragedies than I do. Good for you!

Same point I make after every one of these tragedies. Followed by the same responses ala Craig. It's my agenda that should be questioned not the agenda of those perpetrating these tragedies.

I expected nothing less coming from the author of
Aren't you being just a little (a lot?) hypocritical after both admitting that you would be violent and that you expect violence from the left.

As usual, your out of context posting serves only your own agenda. In that thread I was referring to the movie V for Vendetta movie quote that read: “The building is a symbol. As is the act of destroying it. Alone a symbol is meaningless. But with enough people, blowing up a building can change the world”, in cases where a tyrannical government has corrupted the political system beyond repair.

Mowing down over 80 children whose parents happen to belong to the Labor Party in Norway because you are a Right-wing extremist goes just a bit further than torching a building when the political process has collapsed. My mistake was thinking that you could figure out the difference between symbolic rhetoric and actions versus mass murder. You obviously can’t make the distinction. False equivalencies are the hallmark of the Right-wing.

And which movie did "I think you are going to see a lot of violence in Wisconsin tonight and I think it is justified." come from?

BTW, you need to listen to some news once in a while. There were not "over 80 children" killed. The total is down to 76 and that includes only 68 children from that island. Not that that makes it OK, ..............

I am surprised something like this happened. Norway has some pretty strict gun laws.

Oh! The new figures that came out today make all the difference. What was I thinking? This isn't nearly the tragedy I thought it was. Thanks for correcting me. Geeeesh!

The Right wingers in this country including Fox announced in the first few hours that this was an Islamic Jihadists terror attack. The Wall Street Journal called it a Jihadist attack. Andrew Breitbart said the same thing. Who really jumped to conclusions here?

Read this guy’s manifesto. You can't tell the difference between it and the American Right-wing rhetoric.

What the hell are you dragging me into this for? I simply asked what your point was. I haven't made any comments regarding this incident whatsoever and yet you attack me!?!?!? What in the hell are you thinking?? Good God almighty, man.. talk about jumping to conclusions...!!! You are certainly one strange person (and that's putting it mildly).

I will tell when its ok. I the mean time, you can just comment on the deaths if you like. All you are doing is the same thing that Beck is doing. Just say its awful and move on. But no, you have to light the powder keg.

"Just say its awful and move on?" Exactly which types of politically motivated atrocities would it be OK with you for me or anyone else to express our anger about? I guess shooting children with Dum-Dum bullets doesn't merit more than a passing word from some people. Where is your outrage? How can you accept tragedies like these with such indifference? I can't say that I am actually lying awake at night but I am also not telling people to move on 3 days later.

Here's an idea Craig, take your preaching and move along lest you find yourself culling your agenda from this tragedy. We ALL have agendas Craig. The rest of us just seem less in denial about that fact than you are.

"I think you are going to see a lot of violence in Wisconsin tonight and I think it is justified."
So then you believe that the left both uses violence and it is justified when they do. Interesting opinion of someone so critical of any violence even remotely connected to the right.

BTW, I was listening to Fox and never heard them say that "was an Islamic Jihadists terror attack". They did, however, say numerous times that they did not know if it was a terrorist attack. Now CBS and Mediaite both say it is connected to a jihad.
