Base voters for Obama were most likely those who make less and qualify for more. i.e. minorities and less educated.
Absolutely true! However, due to the huge number of people opting for immediate retirement rather than wait for the state to decrease their retirement benefits, there have been countless openings at every level. Heck, my wife is try to decide if she'd rather be a Dean or a Vice Provost. In other words, the only way to get a raise these days is to get a promotion. Since we are no where near retirement, we are both positioned perfectly to slide into some pretty sweet opportunities. Right place, right time.
I see, good luck then. I just found out that the newest casino in Atlantic City has posted a job that would be the equivalent of a promotion for me if they hire me. Everyone raise their glass to "getting promoted."
To quote some of the people who used to work for/with me (and probably some of the logic on this site), you had better turn down that job. If they increase your pay, the government will just take more out so you lose money. Don't ask me to explain it, but I have heard that more than once.
Good luck, Lehigh. You and I don't always see eye-to-eye, but if it's a better job for you with an increase in pay, I'm with you 100%. I think that's the capitalist in me....
Hope that you both get the jobs that you are after nothing wrong with trying to improve your current situation
That is the stupidest logic I have ever heard. Who is really that dumb? Tell those people to pull their heads out of their... Well you know.
