Well, should I ever run for office (to serve the public), I'll remember that perks include flying wherever I want to via a fully staffed helicopter 24/7, or if I make it all the way, I can do personal shopping trips via my own 747! Serving the public rocks!
Then I can get up on my platform, and scold the poorer folks (the whiners, the takers), for taking too much and demand they cut, cut, cut! Meantime...maybe I'll schedule daily plane trips to France, get the boys together for a poker game! Yeah man....serving the public Hah! Serving ME baby!! Now cut, cut, cut, you greedy little band of old folks, poor folks, (and other less successful folks than myself), and elect me!!!
Yeah...this serving the public stuffs rocks for sure!!

James? James? The car...please. Time for a press announcement. Cut! Cut! Cut! I friggin' love it man!

Tax increases on the wealthiest of the wealthy??? NONSENSE! You "public" folks pay for it. We need MORE! HAHAHAHAHAHAH! Suckers!

So, I have respect the guy for doing what he can to attend his son's ballgame. For your son's sake, I would hope participating in his activities is as important to you as it is to Christie to participate in his son's.

That is setting the bar kinda low. Helicoptered and driven to the game by someone else and staying until the 5th inning? He should try driving hmself and family in a '97 Neon, with 2 month old twins to coach and watch his 5 year old play tee ball in San Antonio summer heat...and stay for the whole game. lol

(Yes, I am mostly kidding about the low bar...it is good that he is involved as he can be in his kid's game).

The whole point is that he is not allowed to drive himself. He is required to have a security detail at all times. Tom can't understand that, but we know that you can.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the State Police's decision to use the helicopter and that Christie had nothing to do with the decision. So how many people here think Christie handles his own transportation arrangements?

I understand that. I just wasn't quite on board with giving him Father Of The Year for being whisked in and whisked out for part of his kid's game. ;)

That's a bit much. Doesn't the little pri...fellow understand Dad can't be there all the time? I mean he is trying to run a state. Not a lemonade stand. Some times Daddys are busy.

All I'm saying is I believe it's an admirable quality when a Dad will do everyhting he can to be involved with his kids, that's all.

Using everything and everyone he possible can to do so (for a whole five innings). Did the kid brag that my daddy is in the helicopter? I hope somebody got it on film for the election ads.

Headlines: Governor of NJ and REPUBLICAN presidential hopeful Christie, champions cuts to everything as he steps back aboard his helicopter, after flying to his son's to baseball game. He was heard proclaiming, "F it. I got mine and piss on the taxpayers if they don't like it. My son was impressed".

He got on a chopper and flew to a ball field. He didnt battle giant ants or crawl through broken glass. So you'd feel the same if Obama jetted across the country to see one of his little play the tuba?
