Just heard that the Los Angeles Dodgers have filed for bankrupcy protection!! With some players and former players owed millions (former player Manny Ramirez been owed $21 mill alone & Andruw Jones $11 mill)add to that the owners are in a bitter divorce row also that Bud Selig blocked a multi Billion (Fox Sports) $$$$ tv deal!! Yet monday they made a franchise record since been in LA (54 seasons) player in the starting lineup had at least 1 hit, 1 run and 1 run batted in and beat the twins 15-0 LOL What do you guy's think the outcome will be? one rumour I have heard is that Marc Cuban might be in the running to take over (or will that be another Cubs affair with him been blocked?)
What's going on is a divorce, I believe. lol But I haven;t been paying enough attention to know the details.
Except that the two categories are inseparably "married" at this point. Maybe baseball club owners should just "merge" and take over. One body owns all. That should fit with your capitalist view, should it not?
Wow, do you really consider marriage/divorce a capitalist venture. The bankruptcy is actually good for the team. It is a necessary action to change ownership of the team in this case.
Apparently the team owner did/does. It shows an extreme example of the few (or the one) considering themselves more important than the many. Crapitalism!
