I Swear, Michelle Bachmann Could not Be Dumber.

This has to rank as one of her dumbest comments yet.

In Waterloo, Iowa on the eve of her official presidential campaign announcement, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) told Fox News that she has "the spirit" of John Wayne.
The presidential hopeful -- who was born and grew up in Waterloo as a child before moving to Minnesota -- said, "Well, what I want them to know is just like, John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa. That's the kind of spirit that I have, too."
The Washington Times points out one slight problem with the Tea Party favorite's remarks: The John Wayne with roots in Waterloo is John Wayne Gacy, a serial killer who was executed by lethal injection in 1994 after being convicted of 33 murders.

    I must agree - even with your god;

I wonder if the other 59 states agree!

I could have predicted this Bachmann defense. It's the same one you use everytime she runs off at the mouth. Perhaps, just perhaps this single verbal gaff doesn't excuse every single Republican empty-headed statement but you'd never know it.

What pathetic defense and a pathetic candidate you guys are stuck with.

Man, you are in rare form today. Get out of the wrong side of bed?

I am not defending Bachmann one bit. I am merely pointing out that she is far from the only one to ever misspeak.

Really? Exactly how is this a "misspeak"? She genuinely believed that John Wayne, the actor, was from Waterloo Iowa. SHE is from Waterloo Iowa. You'd think that kind of thing would have come up while you were being raised. If she had said that John Wayne was from Des Moines and he turned out to be from Waterloo, that would be a misspeak. Michelle Bachmann has said some pretty out there things and it wasn't because she misspoke. She is genuinely stupid because she believes what she is saying. Like Chris Wallace said, "Are you a flake?" Yes Chris, she is a flake.

I will bet there are more people in Iowa who know that there are only 50 states in the USA than know John Wayne came from Winterset, Iowa. It also would not surprise me that there are more people who know that 31% of 10,700B is greater than 189% of 930B than know about John Wayne.

BTW, are you jealous of her since you are from her home state?

I'm thinking that maybe you're just not wanting a female in the White House. Are you sexist or something?

You have to admit, as serial killers go, Gacy was pretty bad ass. Great nickname too, the killer clown. You are right, can't make this stuff up!

HAHAH, yeah.. I think it's funny that when Hillary Clinton was running, the libs didn't build up her "accomplishments". They would just say things like, "It's time we had a woman in the White House" or "It's time we break that glass ceiling". Or "Look! She's crying! That proves she's human"!

You're comparing Bachmann to Clinton? I personally don't like Clinton, but, the only broad dumber than Bachmann is Palin. Both on the right (speaks volumes for their side doesn't it?)

The lefties are by far the most racist & sexist hypocrits among us....one doesn't have to look any further than comments made by BJ Clinton, Crazy Joe Biden & Harry Reid regarding BO. And sexist? Look what happens any time a female candidate emerges.

There are a lot men I wouldn't want to see in the White House too, mostly Republicans. I guess that makes me an "idiotist" or something.

Ask Planned Parenthood which party is the most anti-woman. Righties use the bible to take away women's rights. The reason the Cons can't find a woman that wouldn't do more harm than good for women's causes is because they believe that they are subservient to men because the bible says so. But if we don't want a defective female candidate, it can't be because of who they are, it must be because they are being victimized by the Left.
The Right plays the victim every time they can't push their flawed agenda on the rest of the country. All you have to do is look around the country right now and see what Repubi-Con governors are doing to women's reproductive rights, look at what 5 Conservi-Cons on the supreme Court have done to women in recent decisions, women’s groups have called the new Republi-Con majorities in the US House and the state governments a “War on women”. That’s the reality, not your victimization complex.

It's funny how our resident PHD is so quick to pick Bachmann (and any other Rep) apart but turns a blind eye to BO and his stupid remarks and questionable behavior. I don't care that you blast the Repubs, but I would ask that you not be a hypocrit & act like the Dims are somehow different.

There are many differences. There are many similarities. The problem you and many on the Right have is that you have no ability to determine qualitative equivalencies. To you, every shortcoming on the Right is exactly off-set by any shortcoming on the Left. This oversimplified approach doesn’t require any deep thought or any political self-examination. It also doesn’t even begin to tell the entire story of either side. I personally just couldn’t be content to live that way. You seem to have no problem with it.

But saying that only the Right has shortcomings requires deep thought, political self-examination, and tells the entire story? And you are content to live that way. Well good for you.
