Of that I'm sure too. It's a perverted, nasty, greedy world with stupid people everywhere, and enough lobbyists to legislate whatever their clients ask them to turn a buck on. I'm hoping that God pushes the reset button right around that time though. The sickness isn't going to cure itself, and the greed, and corruption isn't going to fix itself. (too much money to be made). Besides, the supreme court says that money over rides morality and decency. Yes...pot will be legal and greed and ignorance will triumph. You're correct.

But how can a trip be either "deluded" OR "diluted?" There has to be a much better word to use there. Returning to the original purpose of the thread, though, I do believe that Sea Shepherd is a misnamed group of pirates or ecoterrorists. They should be sunk or arrested--or arrested then sunk. They are no better than ALF or ELF.

 

Years ago when my ex wife left me I took her dentures the night before she left and placed them in a ziplock and placed them in the toliet tank, she searched all over for them but never did find them later sold the house with them still there
3 years later she commited sucide . Some times I wonder why?

 

Based on experience I'd say that maybe the majority of Japanese under 30 years old have tasted whale once or twice if ever. The demand has been declining for decades and there is more on hand in refrigerated warehouses now than can be sold. A vestigial whaling industry exists in Japan for cultural reasons and to keep a decreasing number of whalers employed and to protect a moribund industry that would die off in a couple of years if left to fend for itself.

For what it's worth, I had whale steak once and it looked like very lean beef and tasted like very lean, somewhat fishy beef. Apparently the blubber and the muscle don't mix much or at least they didn't in that cut. It wasn't bad but it wasn't something I'd order on my own. It was well-done and I might have liked it better medium rare. But I doubt it.

...You live in an area where deer-ticks are plentiful, and for decades you avoid finding one on yourself yet for decades imagine the horrible things you'd do to the little *poof* when you find one on you.

I found one this year, in my belly-button. I was merciless... and cruel... it had it coming lol

 

I don't know if I comfortable agreeing so much with some of you guys, but I think they should call the show 'Racists Afloat.' I'm so tired of these self righteous jerks. I think the whalers should mount automatic weapons and treat them like any other pirates. But the whalers are too restrained and disciplined for that.

 

Like nothing we've never seen maybe, but we haven't been here that long. Mass extinctions are part of the cycle too. You could make the argument that preservation of endangered species is simply soft-brained sentimental interference.
