Can I ask what sort of country you think Greece is if not a capitalist one? it is a part of western europe a Unitary parliamentary republic the 2 main parties since the fall of the Junta are Liberal-conservative (New Democrats) & Social-democrats (Panhellenic Socialist Movement) with a few smaller parties thrown into the mix
Isn't that a result of the wet feet, dry feet policy that Clinton worked out where we told the Cubans that we would agree to stop letting in defectors who were caught at sea?
Does it Really Matter? It really doesn't matter if they are capitalist country or not. What does matter is they are living beyond their means and they can't accept that. Much like the many other countries ahead of them on the debt per capita list. It's not my fault or your fault. They will eventually have to accept this fact when the other European countries run out of money to bail them out. As for Cubans leaving Cuba, most do it believing they will become wealthy in a short period of time. Many Cubans that arrive here in Canada, claim refugee status with lies or whatever it takes to stay, then complain because they can't find a job. Most receive free housing, monthly cheques, free dental and many other things that regular citizens can't get. I don't mind someone seeking a better life, but don't come here with your mad up stories about how bad you were treated in Cuba.
So Cuba has refugees fleeing to Canada and USA despite raped by Corporations and the Wall Street Bankers. Cuba has no homeless, everyone has a home and food to survive, free healthcare and education as well as the happiest people on earth. Therefore, you would think Americans and Canadian would be literally flocking to Cuba by the droves. It kinda sounds to me like there is something twisted in your logic or assumptions.
