That is one big "If". The economy is certainly a factor but who gets blamed for it isn't always as clear. Labor is P'ed off and motivated with a capital M, Seniors are P'ed off about Ryan's Medicare coupons, Santorum is trying to privatize Social Security, and the attack on women's reproductive rights has never been as voracious. All in all, the economy may not figure in as much as it would have in the past.

 

Look who is dreaming now. This election will be about three things. The economy, the economy, and the economy. Social issues, entitlements, and foreign policy will have very little impact.

Hey, I did not take that poll. That is entirely ABC and neither of them bother to give their questions or demographics.

Polls are neither facts, as you call them, nor the entire story. They are snapshots of the opinions of the day for a select group. If you're lucky the polling organization has accurately identified a representative sample of the populace. If you're a biased polling organization, not that there are any of those out there, then you skew your sample to please your funding sources. Polls are certainly not facts but they are fun to taunt other people with.

 

I never once stated that pols were "facts". It is a fact that you stated "in a poll, they all lose by double digits". It is a fact that I found a poll to belie that statement. Obviously 2poll taken 2 day apart that show a 16% difference cannot both be of the same thing. As I have stated previously, a couple word difference in the poll questions can make a dramatic difference tin the results. On top of that, I also agreed with De Orc "it gets interesting when the two front runners actualy go head to head until then it is pure speculation".

James Carville coined the term " it's the economy stupid " for a good reason. Thats what touches the voter the most. Bo is out there touting 2 million new jobs, yet there are 1.9 million more unemployed, how does that work ?

Look at the Euro bailouts we are paying for, the deficits, the unemployment....everything is worse. Everything tried has failed. Stimilus, endless printing of $$$, MORE military action and costs........

The country WAS asleep, thats how we got W and BO.....they are awakening and are demanding fiscally sound policy. All other issues are side pots.

I'm not. Rich folk will be just fine though. The other 90% will pay the price (that's a moderate number...likely more like 98% while the 2% piss on the rest of us). The "successful businessmen" making their millions, on the backs of the poor population. I can only pray that they all rot in Hell. They'll all piss on everybody while "management" holds their penises for them.
