Dammit, you're still around. You weren't given the opportunity to be caught up in the rapture. I wish.... ooooooh how I wish.... the world HAD ended...... but, wait a minute. If the world did end and all the saved souls went to heaven while the damned souls remained on earth to experience a living hell, then... uh oh... Moen and I are both left on earth.... so, that means.... oh Dear God! But, Moen will soon be ascending to the Sixth Bolgia of the Eighth Circle in which case earth, for me, will be a paradise. So, either way it works for me.

Oh, it finally decides that it has something intelligent to say but when it's fingers touch the keyboard, this is what comes out. If it can tolerate constructive criticism, it may be wise to keep its "thoughts" to itself. You know.. just sayin'.

You must be getting tired of having your a$$ handed to you by me. If you ask really, really, really nicely, I'll take it easy on you. Unless of course you're into abuse. I don't know how to break this to you but I can't be your dominatrix.

80% of the people in this country know that raising taxes on the wealthy is what this country should do. The other 20% are basically clueless idiots and ideologues. The same ones that got us into this situation.

The President's Budget for Fiscal Year 2012
Having emerged from the worst recession in generations, the President has put forward a plan to rebuild our economy and win the future by out-innovating, out-educating, and out-building our global competitors and creating the jobs and industries of tomorrow. But we cannot rebuild our economy and win the future if we pass on a mountain of debt to our children and grandchildren. We must restore fiscal responsibility, and reform our government to make it more effective, efficient, and open to the American people.

The President’s 2012 Budget is a responsible approach that puts the nation on a path to live within our means so we can invest in our future – by cutting wasteful spending and making tough choices on some things we cannot afford, while keeping the investments we need to grow the economy and create jobs. It targets scarce federal resources to the areas critical to winning the future: education, innovation, clean energy, and infrastructure. And it proposes to reform how Washington does business, putting more federal funding up for competition, cutting waste, and reorganizing government so that it better serves the American people

This sounds a lot like what Ryan is trying to accomplish with his proposal. Funny, though, I don't see "raising taxes" mentioned, not even in code. Perhaps the Prez was informed that rasing taxes would only serve to stifle the economy & cost jobs?

The problem is that you don't see anything mentioned in specifics. Those are nothing more than feel good words. In the limited specifics that have been released, there is more than one mention of raising taxes.

How about we simply look at history.

    Reagan increased deficit 189%
George Bush Sr. increased deficit 55%
    Clinton increased deficit 37%
George Bush Jr. increased deficit 86%
So far Obama increased deficit 35% during the worst recession in history.

Whatever obama decides to do with the budget, history shows me that I should trust a Democrat.

To put a little perspective on the numbers you put there (assuming they are correct), that means BO would have an 88% increase in the deficit in 4 years and a 252% increase in 8 years. BTW, based on the unemployment, these years have been between the 6th and 8th worst just since 1920. So I really doubt this is the "worst recession in history". It compares well with the 1984 recession Reagan inherited from Carter except he managed to nip it in the bud before it got to entrenched. If I remember correctly, he did that by cutting taxes.

PS, how come your God's name is no longer capitalized?

YOU ARE SO CLUELESS, I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START. Deficits are not necessarily cumulative. I mean they could work out that way but to say 2 years of a term was 20% then 4 years must equal 40% is a real lack of understanding. Nobody but you so far as said this wasn't the worst recession since the Great Depression. I think I'll take everyone else's word over yours. I know you Cons love to rewrite history so I guess there is no time like during the time the history is still happening to get started. And finally, Reagan raised taxes 7 of his 8 years in office. Bush Senior also raised taxes, remember his lips. You are no student of history. I guess that is what makes you such a good dupe for the Cons. Cluelessness is such an asset on the Right.

Just exactly where did I say "this wasn't the worst recession since the Great Depression"? However, you did when you said "during the worst recession in history". I also never said anything about what Reagan did after the economy had turned let alone what Bush senior did. But then I guess that is what makes you such a loyal socialist. You know how to twist everything into your favor.
