Hmmmmmmm... how strange that he would open this thread with, yes, a poll, but say things like that... Very, very odd indeed.
Correcting yet another error (no, thank you!): http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/obama-drops-perry-surges-poll-155241606.html An excerpt from the referenced article (September 6, 2011): President Obama's approval rating hit another new low, and Rick Perry has surged to the lead in the 2012 Republican presidential race, according to a NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released Tuesday. After what could be considered the worst summer of his presidency politically, Obama's approval rating is at a new low of just 44 percent in the NBC/WSJ poll. Just 37 percent approve of his handling of the economy--a six-point drop since July. The poll's margin of error is 3 percent.
Any mention in that poll on what they think of the Republicans in Congress? ...or not interested in posting?
Not that it matters much to me, but I heard that the Republicans in Congress have a worse rating than Obama lately. Is this true or false?
Gee, you seem to have a stiffy for the Republicans in Congress. This thread was started about Obama, so I'm just trying to keep it on track. If you wish to change the focus of the thread, go ahead I suppose. Or you could always start a new thread.
This thread was also started with the idea of intellectual honesty which you can't seem to adhere to. You can't simply say that Obama's poll numbers are down as if the entire focus of the American electorate is angry with him without considering how much they also loathe your buddies in congress and be honest. Obama is still way more popular than your reps and given Obama's low poll numbers that is saying something. Nothing you can hear but it is really saying something just the same. And since when have you ever stuck to the topic of a thread? I mean really!
Wanted...dead or alive. That's what the dunce republican POTUS said (before he said he wasn't really that concerned about him). It took a POTUS with some intelligence (not faked intelligence) to get him....someone on the left of things. Dead or alive. Well, that's that.
Please ask the nurse for another sleeping pill, Tom. Being up this late is bad for your cognitive abilities.
Incorrect. This thread was started with the intent to show Obama's poll numbers. I'm simply continuing that trend. I didn't know this thread was started as a poll of Obama's popularity in relation to the popularity of Republicans. I thought it was a poll simply about Obama. Guilty as charged. But, considering the magnitude of the topic of this thread, I figured I'd best stay right on topic. I mean, these poll numbers could give us a representation of how the electorate might vote next year. That's extremely important seeing as how Obama might be re-elected (boo!) or replaced (yay!).
I would but, the republicans privatized everything, killed most of the other patients, took away my meds, and kicked me out in the streets. I'm grateful to even be alive now.
Correcting an error (yet again): http://www.gallup.com/poll/151106/Obama-November-Approval-Weak-Historical-Perspective.aspx PRINCETON, NJ -- President Obama's 43% average job approval rating last month ranks as one of the lowest for an elected president in November of his third year in office. Only Jimmy Carter had a lower rating, at 40%. But Carter's rating surged in late November 1979 because of a rally in support after the onset of the Iranian Hostage Crisis, and he averaged above 50% in December. All recently elected presidents were at or above 50% in December of their third year in office.
This makes for quite a good read http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_...ic-outlook-weighs-down-obama-approval-rating/
As CoinOKC says it should be required reading It sure makes for a interesting read and I assume that you will noticed not all the blame was laid at the Presidents door Many Americans still blame ex President Bush (Dont blame me for this it is in the report) and Congress along with wall Street 57% actually view President Obama as a strong leader same as back in September 2/3rds of Americans see the President as a hard fighter for his policies and that number includes about half of the Republicans asked. Now when it comes to the difficulties in reaching agreements and passing legislation in Congress, well read those figures for your selfs folks they might come as something of a eye opener
I expected Obama's ratings to slip a bit further than what is shown, but otherwise they are predictable. As the economy tanks, so does the President's irregardless of who is the President. As for Congress, I view that as a good sign... that people are aware that the problems stem from Congress, though I doubt most understand how ingrained the problem is and how difficult it would be to fix it. I seriously doubt we have the focus as a country, or even the capability, to fix the problems. So it may be a good sign, but I'm wary of mass-resignation and indifference setting-in as time goes on.
I wouldn't worry about what Obama's approval ratings are if I were you, I'd worry about this instead.... View attachment 336
Well, let's think about this for a minute. When you have BO & the national media blaming it on the Repubs at every turn how do you expect the dimwits & dullards who believe this stuff are gonna react? How many has BO or the democrat leadership been completely honest & 'fessed up to the fact that their party has controlled Congress for the last 5 years? Then there's that Executive Order thing BO can use if he so desired.
