Would Releasing Bin Laden's Death Photo Just Fuel Conspiracy Theories?

I mean what is the point beyond morbid curiousity anyway? I personally don't care if they release it or not and I have heard recently that they have decided not to release it but you know it will eventually leak out. I believe that the guy is toast and no photo or lack of a photo will change that but either way the conspiracy nuts will read something into whatever happens. I guess the only question is what is in the best interest of the nation?

I think the real reason he won't release the photos is because now the Birthers don't have anything to do with the One True Birth Certificate being out there, now the Birthers can become Deathers and keep the crazy coming.

Since birthers were mostly from the Right, I do not find that hard to believe. The psychological abnormality known as Obama Derangement Syndrome hasn't responded to facts, logic, or reality so far, so why would we expect the cure to come from another event with more than ample proof?

I forget who (maybe the CIA) said they WILL release it ...and it sounded like a definite. As to whether it'll fuel 'em? Oh yeah ...no doubt about it. I fully expect "photos" of Bin Laden sunning himself on a beach being released this summer...

..."best interest for the nation"... hard one, but I'd say releasing it would be better than not

Oh, I don't think there's as much difference between the Birthers and the Moonbats as you'd expect.

As far as conspiracies and theories, it doesn't matter one bit whether it is released or not. The recent birth certificate release is proof of that.

As far as releasing it, I tend to take the view that the government keeps too much confidential, secret and hidden from the public. So, unless there is a hugely compelling danger to national security, I see no reason not to release it.

The only "Deather" I've seen on this forum is Major Moonbat himself (I can't bear to speak his name, but he's also a "Truther") and he's the most left-wing nutball I know. No one I've talked to disbelieves bin Laden is dead. This whole "Deather" thing seems to be something conjured up by the left-wing loons. Oh well, have your fun and games. Bin Laden is dead, deceased, kaput and tits up.

And set a whole new bunch of Islam zealots into a killing frenzy? Besides it wouldnt prove anything. Conspiracy nuts would only say it was doctored or not him. Perhaps some in here would like an opportunity to piss on the body ala Mussolini. Now that s class.

We killed him and we have been standing on the mountain saying what a great thing it is for the world that we killed him. Cheering in the streets. Chanting in the stands. Etc. I don't think the photo is going to do much. And, like I said, I don't say release it for the conspiracies. It won't make a bit of difference.

It is because I prefer the default action of the government to be to not keep things hidden unless there is a true reason to do so. Not to keep things hidden in order to be mommy and daddy and protect us from a photo because it is gruesome. We killed him. Killing is gruesome. We are glad. We can own that. And I don't think there is much real danger in the photo.

Its not the way this administration works I guess. They have a point too. We should have higher standards then the rest of the world. If you dont think so. Oh well. Its what I think anyway. Yeah I know the previous one wouldve released it. They also had death cards. Which I thought was pretty pathetic. I dont think they are not releasing it to spare your emotional distress. Theyre taking the high ground is all.

Oh, come on! I would love to play poker with that deck of cards. I raise, I have Bin Laden-Khaddafi suited.

No way for the common man (in the US or Pakistan) to ever prove or disprove that moon landings were actually possible or happened six times in the 60s. (Although I guarantee the further we go into the future, the less realistic and more foolish it will seem.)

Now, would it be possible for the common man from the US or Pakistan to spot Bin Laden? Another mortal walking on Earth who would love nothing more than to prove the US wrong? I'd say this could be done quite easily. Video tape him holding up a current issue of USA Today and there you go. So no, I don't believe shooting Osama in the face was as near as technical or difficult as the feat of moon landings in the 60's. Therefore, I don't see any reason why they would risk lying about this, when it could so obviously be proven wrong eventually. No reason for conspiracy theories here.

Have to admit though. I don't know why they won't release the photo. It's almost like they're doing it out of respect for the man! Hannity opened up the show tonight with several photos of unknown men that were shot that were extremely gruesome. Somehow these photos of dead guys laying in pools of blood could be released. It couldn't get much worse from there.

Shooting Obama in the face? A dream of yours Vess?

You hate our President, seems you hate the state you live in AND you watch Hannity.
    Three strikes yer out!

My advice is vote against Obama (pretty sure you will), change the channel (Hannity is a weasel nut) and move to Wisconsin.

I've heard it's nice in Wisconsin and Governor Walker is all about YOU (unless you're in a union).

I don't believe we'll ever see "proof" in the way of photos or video. I doubt they actually exist and I also doubt the incident involved a live OBL. Smokescreen for something else perhaps but, no OBL. Just my opinion though.
