How many of you have done any preperation?

I am curious to see how many members here have been preparing or have been prepared for anything that "can" happen. The reason why I started this thread is because many of my friends are a little crazy and have all started to prepare for what they say "it's coming".

So, I said "I'll get prepared as well, just in case". I've just bought a lot of ammunition for my toys, bought some can goods and planted a little more than usual in the garden. I've also added a couple of emergency preparation kits like for hunters and first aid.

My friends have gone much further than that and some have even bought "distanced pieces of land". Some have put just about all they have saved into silver/gold, when I see it as precious metal that can go down in value just as fast as it has gone up. Don't get me wrong, I too have bought a lot of precious metal but not as much as these guys.

So, what is your opinion on what might/can happen in the future and are you or have you prepared yourselves?

 

Who knows? They might get Usama and the price of silver will drop $4 in a day. Nope! Sorry, but if the world goes that way, I would just as soon not be around for it.

We are prepared for short term disasters as best we can which includes food and such. But, how can you really prepare for the EOTWAWKI? Running to the hills might be a good idea or it might not. I would probably stay and join forces with my neighbors anyway. Silver? Not a sure thing that anyone would care about that for a long time. Ammo? Sure but do you need an armory? If it is that bad, you better have a bigger gang than the one that is going to be trying to take it from you because you won;t be able to use it all before they take it.

 

Well...let's see. Total collapse of the US economy. Some man made virus unleashed on the population resulting in extermination of most of the population. HAARP induced calamities worldwide. Martial law. Slave labor camps (not the regular ones run by the corporations every day). Some life changing event on 12/21/12 resulting in maybe a pole shift, maybe the earth is bombarded with the suns radiation after HAARP destroys the Ionisphere. Probably massive earthquakes and tsunamis compliments of HAARP wars. Then after the poles flip, and render all electronics and electrical machines, cars, completely useless. Panic. Large forced labor camps. Sometime in 2012, the earth is obliterated by an asteroid (because the Ionisphere has been completely destroyed by HAARP wars), and so now we have to protection from anything.

Basically....we all F'd. If you believe in God....better start praying now. Oh...almost forgot. Japan has to be abandoned completely and the radiation eventually poisons all the world's oceans, and whatever people are left after all of that, the remaining die of starvation.

This post makes you sound like one of the people who thinks they know about space exploration because they have watched Star Wars.
