"Sorry about that, I hadn't seen it. Your post was 2 minutes before mine." But, I wouldn't need to ask to be banned though, that door is always available to me to go through at my leisure. I merely hadn't thought my comment was that controversial. I had seen far more "personal" attacks on others previously that moderators (present during the bashing) had allowed ...and the person appeared to want a confrontation. My attempt at humor though, while inappropriate, was meant in jest. It was more a reference to an obscure karate movie than a direct attack. But I can see why you chose to warn me. Realize though that it is quite easy to be offended, and anger is a very slippery slope that can lead to far worse things. If something doesn't affect your daily life, it's better to be tolerant. Don't let your anger cloud your judgement, remember, those with power can be consumed by it. So please, be civil, the warning was sufficient.
Look what time this was posted. 420 LeHIGH time Lehigh=alma mater 96=graduation year Do you care to explain your username?
The moderator deleted a message of mine and I had just read (his/her) warning, but not before I had already repeated the same offense in another thread. Since it was my only warning, and I had obviously just made a similar comment, I wanted to let Moen know that I may be banned at any moment. (The 2nd offense had been posted a few minutes before.) However, I don't believe you truly care to hear this explanation, but instead wish to instigate an argument for which there is no logical conclusion, for your own personal enjoyment. It appears to be in your nature to twist truths so that on the one hand, it could be considered truthful, but in a objective examination would be revealed as a manipulation for your own personal enjoyment. But, if you insist, there were three comments within three minutes of each other, not between you and I (as you apparently believe), but between the moderator and myself. You were however, the cause of the disputed remark(s). As for my username, it's subtlety reveals other peoples view points, without me needing to ask. I believe I have all the necessary info about you that I need to make a preliminary judgement on your character. Oh, and thank you for the clown image, it was quite nice of you. I am indeed from the U.P. (winks) and have taken your knowledge of the U.P. into consideration of my continuing judgement of your character. Moderator permitting of course.
...(returns)... Yes ...and no... (laughs) I have a COPY of the Long-Form version (like Obama's), with a seal embossed on it. However, the paper looks like typical office paper ...might be enough to prevent me from taking over the World, eh? Oh well, I had SUCH plans for it too... ...stir, stir, stir... (laughs)
Your very cynical for a newcomer. The clown image only appeared after you called me child (crayola). Nowhere in my post did I ask you to explain what happened between you and Steve, and why would I believe you were talking to me, I wasn't even logged into the forum at the time??? My question about your username was a fair one. It seems very strange that you would use such a name on a coin collecting website. And your judgement of character is already suspect. After all, you have aligned yourself with Moen. Nuff said!
Don't do it anymore. Hoping they will legalize it before I die. It doesn't surprise me that you do/did given your sig line. Can you imagine what a friendly place this forum would be if everyone took a break at 420?
(applauds) ...Quite true, I did misinterpret your statement. In my defense however, you're statement was very odd. How am I to know what you were talking about? Not everyone knows the short-hand version of your thoughts. As for my username, I don't understand why you consider it to be "strange" to use on a coin collecting forum. As to my character, I agree, it SHOULD be suspect. Now, I did align myself with Moen, this is true... but not to bash other people relentlessly. I chose to side with him because I have more of a tendency to agree with him, and (from the little I've read) appeared to be someone I could agree with, more often than not, in the future. And also because of the unrestrained hatred being thrown at him. I found the comments others made towards him to be vile and unnecessary. That isn't to say I wouldn't agree with these same people on certain issues in the forums, it simply means that the normal, automatic respect I give to someone I don't really know was lessened for these people because of the utter hatred they emanated. That said, I have since read more of their comments, including yours, and have adjusted my opinions accordingly. I'm not saying that you are a bad person, only that some of the comments you make are. But, we all make them occasionally. I apologize for my guilt, but remember ...you fired the first salvo! (laughs)
Moen deserves what he gets. He is so radically left in his views that even other democrats will vehemently disagree with him. In his feeble little mind, centrists (myself) are considered right wing radicals. In addition, his ego is unrivaled on this forum. But don't ask him for credentials, he won't give them. Stand with him and you put yourself in the firing line. BTW, what shorthand are you referring to?
Sorry, I make mistakes. It happens. I was referring to: "Look what time this was posted. 420 LeHIGH time Lehigh=alma mater 96=graduation year Do you care to explain your username?" ...It didn't make sense to me. I thought the "420 HIGH time" may have meant you were getting high, possible after school (at 4:20), or that it may have meant I was high on drugs for spouting off, or more likely some odd reference I had no way of understanding. My point was that it was your short-hand for something only a few knew the actual meaning of. It wasn't clear to anyone who didn't know the "code". Didn't mean for it to be a diss. I'd actually like to return to the topic of this thread though. I added all three birth certificates and would like to hear what your opinion is, rather a "WRONG!" ...something more detailed would be nice.
LeHigh is a small private clown college out east and he was the number 1 clown graduate in 1996. That pretty much explains his name.
Anyone with any amount of objectivity can see that the Right wing in this country is so far out on the fringe, everything else looks far Left to them. They like to lie to themselves and pretend that they are in the center but nothing could be further right of the truth. The complete power grabs in the midwest by extreme Right wing governors, the drumming out of party moderates, the tea party nuts, the extreme Ryan budget bill, all prove where you guys are. The Dems are where they have always been, just a little Left of center with not much movement either direction as of late. You can lie to yourself but we see through the lies.
It is difficult for me to say my own political leanings, as I find most politicians to be little more than spin doctors, all fluff and little substance. I can agree with points from both sides, though both offer little more than lip-service to their constituents while paying more attention to their own parties needs for the next election cycle. There are a few member of congress I have had true respect for, but they are usually isolated from the main party itself and don't usually hold any real power in the House. I'm of the opinion that the system is in failure. The checks and balances originally thought up in the 1700s have become nearly useless. As an example: Congress has the power to make laws governing itself. Anyone with a moderate amount of intelligence would realize this can only lead to corruption. I believe the system itself is too corrupted to be considered viable anymore. The Congress now spends most of it's time trying to either topple or preserve the current ruling party's power. I have lost faith in the system. But, any thoughts on the main topic? (laughs)
So when you spoke of people not understanding my shorthand (420 High time), you were protecting others since you did know the meaning? IMO, it is completely acceptable to speak in code when discussing drug use. This topic is dead. They are both American, and it was never really ever in doubt.
And which clown college did you graduate from professor? Better leave the clown insults to me, that was really lame.
