Obama-Trump Birth Certificates

Donald Trump is very proud of himself today. He is taking credit for President Obama's recent release of his long awaited "Long-Form" Birth Certificate. However, the debate over Birth Certificates is far from over and I would like to throw MY Two-Cent Rant into this subject. This will not take long, I only have the 2 cents. (laughs)

Following are some facts, as I see them, that most people could (hopefully) agree on.

Obama released his Short-Form Birth Certificate a couple of years ago. It's free and easy to view via the internet. Most people that have viewed the certificate agree that it is a legal document showing his birth in Hawaii. I have viewed it and agree.

There were some who heard about the Long-Form version and questioned why this wasn't released. After years of persistent demands, Obama relented and released the Long-Form version on the internet, free and easy to view. Again, in all respects it appears to be a legitimate legal document, and I believe most people would agree with that.

Now let's discuss Trump's birth certificate, since he also recently released it. Well, it's viewable, though not a very good photo of it. It isn't too hard to find either, though he released it exclusively to a for-profit online news organization. But it's the certificate itself I find the most interesting. It isn't a birth certificate, it's not even a legal document, it's something hospital's might give to new parents after the birth of their child AS A KEEPSAKE!

The type of "document" Trump provided is not a birth certificate, and more likely than not was printed out on a printer, probably recently, or simply bought at the local Wally-World! It contains fields where you enter the name, place of birth, etc. and was filled in by hand. Legal birth certificates are filled in by type.

Now, I have two final points to make. The first is that Obama has released both birth certificates and has tried to move on while Trump hasn't done either. The last is also political, that while Trump may take credit for making Obama release his birth certificate, the same could be said about Obama making Trump release his, except I think I've made my point that he hasn't released it at all.

Trump also said that he'd release his tax returns when Obama releases his certificate. Where is the tax return Trump?

 

I never knew that Trump was not born in the united States. Don't you have to be to be a president?
